Not possible to generate international label on eBay

Can't print international labels through eBay because I can't enter any periods in the  HS Tariff Code section. I've tried it on different browsers as well. Anyone else having this issue?

For Canada Post labels using eBay labels we "were" using a period. Unsure with UPS but should be the same format. Have you tried either leaving it out or by trying with a dash? With other shipping systems it shows the format before you start entering it in.

I've been printing lots of labels through for some time now. Never had an issue with any courier that was selected. Suddenly today the field for HS Tariff Code won't accept anything other than numbers though as per the error in my screenshot, it wants the period which is the proper format.

Unsure if this is do to a recent change in format with eBay labels or what is going on. Could you  look into this one ASAP please? My store is on holiday so not shipping at the moment. Unable to confirm if anything has been modified.

Are you positive of your weight being correct? The weight in the customs portion is weight of the item before packaging. Weight at top is final package weight. System may require it in this format for kgs.  8.0 or .500. Any individual conflict can cause a label not to print. I do know the bottom weight should be lower than package weight for it to work. 

As a side if you are using NetParcel and UPS period is not included. There are some systems that use dashes. I believe shippo was 1 in the past.

Yup. All other details are correct. Haven't had any issues shipping domestic. Just giving me an error for the HS Tariff Code on international packages due to the formatting.

Only possibility I can think of is eBay labels made some kind of formatting change overnight to be causing problems.

Hi! Have the same exact issue, can't enter the dot or period anymore, used to work fine up to two days ago...  Tried on Mac, PC and iPhone...  If I copy paste with the dot, they disappear...

I called ebay support and they're going to relay this to tech support, I suspect they did some change and put a validation on the field that it only accept numbers while at the same time the form require the HS code format to include the dot, kinda loop there!

Hopefully they'll fix this soon!  It cost already a lot to ship Fedex and UPS, thank god they offer huge discount when purchased through eBay!

BTW - did you call eBay support (or actually requested them to call you)?  Might be good if more people call to raise the issue...

We are having the same issue. We switched to FedEx since the strike started and it has been fine until today. 

Cannot enter the period in the 6 digit HS Tarif code and it will not accept it without it.

Did you call eBay to open a case, the more of us call, the more chance they realized they messed up and fix this.  Thanks!

Quick update, I was able to input the HS tariff code properly using the iPhone app, just need to make sure you’re app country setting is set to Canada first. Worked like a charm! At least we have a workaround…. Cheers!

Same issue here - I don't sell often but I pride myself on a quick turnaround and it was really slowing me down.  Just like the iPhone app, I was also able to properly inpt the HS code in the Android App.

I called yesterday and I was on the line for more than an hour with an eBay Escalation/Leader Representative (I think that's the department he told me). He seemed very knowledgable and eager to help. He opened up a case for me, gave me the number and his name. He said he'd follow up with me next week.

I have to admit I hate doing things on my cellphone but I will if it means I can get my orders out. What a terrible time of year to have this happen.
