Payouts on demand

If you’re on a weekly, biweekly or monthly payout schedule, you’ll also have the option to request your available funds to your linked checking account or debit card at any time. If you’re on daily payouts, you won’t be able to request your available funds on demand, as you already have our fastest option.

You can request your available funds in the Payments tab by selecting withdraw. You can request all available funds at once, or choose an amount. Processing funds and funds on hold can’t be requested. Your bank will then typically make funds available to you in 1-3 business days.

Tip
Eligible sellers have the option to receive payouts to a verified Visa or Mastercard debit card for an additional fee. Payouts on demand to your debit card typically arrive within 30 minutes. For more information, see our article on updating your account details.

This was a thing  ages ago in the USA. Has anyone tested. Can they confirm the rates being applied for Canadian sellers? Not seeing anything via the help pages.

As a small seller with small amount of sales, am on a monthly payout schedule and have no need for payout on demand> I will not be providing eBay with any additional fees.

According to July blurb plus some posts on dot com cost there is 2.00 per USD for the super quick variety. I thought I had seen posted when it was announced there flat up to a prescribed amount and % anything thereafter.  For most sellers they would just prefer reilable & consistent.

Right you are Lotz,

I pay enough fees to Ebay. I'm not complaining, Ebay gets their share and I get mine and everyone is happy.  I just don't see a reason for me to give Ebay more fees when I don't have to. 😊

Just would be nice if eBay when they release new...for sake argument call them features, on ca that there would be a headsup with clarification especially if  there any costs involved. Same standard would/should apply for removing of features.

Weekly works just fine for me, It has been like that since MP started.

The majority of the fees on eBay are out of control and now they are more "Pay to Play" or as we oldies say "Nickle and Dimeing" so much it is making many members rethink using eBay as a selling or even buying option anymore.

1% here, 1% there, but eBay recommends a few % points higher for better results, lol

The "payout on Demand" sounds like a solution looking for a problem when you can have daily payouts if you want.  Not sure what the intent is.   Perhaps for someone that has a longer payout period but something comes up and they need to access funds asap?

Implemented for the folks that needed their funds yesterday. It's been available for month(s) in the USA along with using funds for making purchases. Just takes majority of features released in USA a bit longerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to arrive for Canadians. Not available for anyone already on the daily schedule. Again, strange something like this didn't come with an official announcement like it would for US sellers. As noted above you could still be affected by how long your bank takes for processing and waiting times for pending transactions.

Why wouldnt anyone on Weekly or longer payouts just switch to daily and have any money sent sooner with no peanalty? If your still at the mercy of your bank processing time I would just do daily and then go back to weekley or longer after I had cashed out. Seems like a work around to me and this feature isnt really needed. There is lots of other features I would prefer on the canadian site before this one.

@regs43

The major difference for me between PayPal and MP is the fact you can't hold funds to cover fees. Those fees come out on eBay's schedule. Not yours. Having funds to cover store fees 1st of the month I cound as a win.  Fees were 1 charge per month attached to an actual invoice. Now what can be up to  100's of individual charges, or more with MP per month. For certain Canadian bank accounts you are penalized for over the limit negative transactions. Something that some sellers cannot afford. From a reverse perspective I do remember hearing that were sellers that used to their CC to gain points/credits. Is this still even possible?

As a side tax was charged on the total balance with PayPal. Not per transaction with rounding, usually up each time. Those pennies add up over the course of a year.

I'm on a weekly payout since the beginning of MP, I have yet to have them withdraw anything from my bank to this point. I used to use a CC with PayPal before to get points, wish that was a thing as I would still do that. ebay wants their fees now and not later, I am sure people ran and never paid.

If it was to become an issue where I was seeing an uptick of not having money i my account to cover fees etc I would just do Bi-Weekly, like a regular paycheck. And if i really desperatley needed money ASAP I would switch to Daily to get it sooner and switch back. Thats just how I would do it.

my bank account allows 8 transactions in a month, I use about 4 per month as I use my CC for all purchases and pay it off weekly, I hate paying fees anywhere and everywhere lol
