Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.
I had an order with two items that the customer picked up in person. We scanned the QR code when meeting with them. I clicked “Confirm pickup” (twice, just to be sure), including once using the French version of the site.
The order now shows as “Picked up June 10”... so far, so good.
However, it’s still showing up in my “Manage orders awaiting shipment” section, even though it’s been 3 days. I contacted eBay customer service, and they told me everything looks fine on their end... they see the order as picked up and not awaiting shipment.
So I’m a bit confused as to why it's still appearing in that list. Has anyone else seen this happen?

Just to add: The order says "This order is complete and we've made the funds available for payout."
So everything seems to be OK… but it's still showing in the “Awaiting shipment” list on my dashboard. Strange!

Does it give you the option to mark as "shipped"? Correct option should be picked up but don't believe ebay ever added that as an option even before the scan codes.

No, I don’t have the “Mark as shipped” option.... only “Confirm pickup.”
When I click it, it says:
“Pickup confirmed
Expect a delay before the status is updated on your order details page.”
And indeed, the status does show “Picked up June 10”, so that part seems to be working… but the order still appears in my “Awaiting shipment” list, even after several days.
So the pickup flow seems functional, but something’s not syncing right with the order management view.

devon@ebaySorry to bother you here, but I’ve contacted customer service multiple times, and while they all confirm everything looks fine on their side, the issue still persists on mine.

Could it be that one item was bought on the French version of the site, and the other on the English version... and this is causing a sync issue in the system?

I had this happen before too and I think it's just a glitch and when it happens you have to wait out a certain amount of time until you stop seeing the annoying "Awaiting Shipment" message. I didn't even have a QR code scanned, I just marked it as picked up (and there was a record of the conversation with buyer setting up time, etc. under messages).
It's been a while now so I can't remember how long I had to see it there but it was there long after the buyer had picked up and left positive feedback.
I don't usually offer Customer Pick Up and I think I had the listing set up normally (shipping only) at first and then changed it to pick up after they asked me, since they lived so close, that might be what made the difference in my case anyways.

The pickup option was already set up in my business policy in this case.
Did the customer maybe add the items to their cart before I added pickup to the policy? Possibly... that could be a factor too.
What’s strange is that I’ve done pickups before, and it worked fine. So I’m not really sure what the glitch is this time.

Same, it usually was okay but I know at least once I had that the annoying message. I know my only concern was would it somehow count as a late shipment since it was showing as that but it never did. It was fine and eventually went away.
It could be the same as mine that maybe they did have it in the cart before adding pick up to the policy, that was my case.
I've had local pick up set up as a potential policy for years but never have it attached to any listings unless someone specifically asks and they live real close. I've had problems in the past when someone wanted local pick up, then messaged me that they changed their mind when they put my address and realized I lived further then they thought; or others that set up a time, then change it, then change it again, then say next week etc.

I had to archive it to make it disappear from my active orders and from the "Ship Now" section in the mobile app.
But archiving also removes it from the regular "Past orders" view, so it's just a temporary workaround.
Hopefully eBay looks into this.
