I have checked ebay.ca first since I'm in Ontario and used to sell here since 1999...have been gone for several years when some of the new rules and confusion began. Returned to see if things were fixed and a little easier....silly me !!
All I want to do is to list on ebay canada - in US dollars - and for now ship only to Canada and the US
PROBLEM??
The selling page that came up does not provide a place for adding your own shipping even though it says - Provide the package weight and dimensions to calculate the cost, or enter a fixed cost. ....there is no place apparent to enter a fixed cost
The auction price/Buyitnow section only allows for CAD dollars not US - AND there is no area on the selling page to find an advanced form (I checked other messages here and someone said it could be found in top right hand corner...nope. )
I tried starting a listing on ebay dot com - and could get the US price BUT it shows I'm shipping from outside the US and only TO the US - cancel that idea.
This senior is starting to feel just a tad cranky and ready to quit

Most customers these days are buying on a mobile.
Take a look at your own listings to learn what does and doesn't appear immediately.
I would suggest adding actual measurements to your Descriptions and photographing each item beside a ruler to show the scale.
There is a very good chance your phone customer will not understand the 1:48/1:12 references. Someone will be expecting to receive a woman's sweater Size 12 or Size 48.
Your photos and your title (particularly the first four words) are what will sell.

I'd suggest Miniature sweater 1:12 scale hand knit green peach stripes doll ski pullover and grammar be dammed.

ebay Canada switched to CAD a few years ago.
If you want to list in USD, you may use ebay.com.

Decided to jump in the deep end - when you're 4 foot 11 and can't swim, not a comfortable metaphor - I found an advanced listing page in another area - had to sell in Canadian because I couldn't see a US$ option - managed to set preferences for US and Canada only for now. We'll see how things go - may add a few more listings this month depending on circumstances.
Thanks,
Lydia

There is NO option to list in USD on ebay.ca anymore. It's gone. No amount of looking will find it for you. USD is available ebay.com only. There are many Canadian sellers who switched to ebay.com to chase the USD they wanted to use to list. Others stayed here. I've always sold in CAD on ebay.ca.
Also, welcome back.

The advanced selling form has Domestic and International shipping sections.
On ebay.com domestic is the United States.
To set up shipping to Canada on ebay.com go to the International shipping section and use the "Ship to" drop down to select Canada.
...
Disadvantage if listing on ebay.com: you can not use calculated shipping if you mail with Canada Post (only choices are USPS, FedEx and UPS sent from a US location). Some sellers get around this by mailing their packages inside the USA by using a cross-border reshipper like ChitChatsExpress.
...
To save on shipping make sure to get (if you don't already have one) a free Solutions for Small Business (formerly Venture One) card from Canada Post. This will give you discounts for Expedited Parcel in Canada ($100 insurance included, delivery time guaranteed or shipping cost refunded) and for Small Packet USA (max weight 1kg, untracked), Tracked Packet USA (max weight 1kg) and Expedited Parcel USA (max weight 30kg, minimum length 21 cm).
...
eBay special Canada Post discounts end July 1, 2018. After that online shipping labels bought via Canada Post (SnapShip or EST Online) or PayPal or goShippo (ebay's preferred agent) will all cost the same.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to offer help. I remember you from our Town Square.
I do give measurements in my description of each piece - besides listing it in Dollhouse Miniatures category.
However I will go in and revise the title to make Miniature doll sweater the first few words before there are any bids..
Thanks
