Hi Guys,
Is there a way to search on eBay, for items that we sold 2017?
We know about the paypal search but why does eBay only allow 60 day searches?

That would certainly make life easier. For anything older I go the paypal route and generate a sales history file there. It's a bit more of a pain as you need to do a bit more sorting to get the data into a reasonable format.

If I need to know what items I sold on ebay in 2017, I go to either my emails or the end-of-month Paid and Shipped files I download from ebay through the file management centre. Or I look at Feedback Left For Others. Do any of those suggestions help? What do you need to find?

Why can't eBay extend the time from 2 months to at least a year or two as they do for purchased items??? Only makes sense.

How much storage space would eBay require on a computer for the last 12 months of sales.... for all .....sellers on eBay
or... the last two year... or the last 6 years.
Each seller must have their own record of sales.
For taxation we must have 6 years of sales plus this year.... that is 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Once 2018 has ended we can shred everything from 2012.

Sellers can setup monthly download requests of sales through file exchange. At the monthly rollovers a csv file of all sales of the prior month will be automatically generated and you can download that. You still have to manually download the files, but a monthly email will be sent when they are ready and 90 days of reports are stored, which can be accessed at any time. On demand you can create reports going back 90 days which is the storage limit.

I suspect it's because Paypal follows some rules about financial companies, taxation records, and holding records for x years just in case.
eBay is 'only a venue'. A newfangled version of classified ads.
