Sept Sales vs. Oct Sales.

Just curious as to how many others have had an absolutely amazing month of sales so far in Oct as compared to an awful, AWFUL month of sales in Sept.

I haven't done the math but a guess is that my sales are up at least 80% from Sept.

I've actually been astounded at the turnaround.

Eh? Sept was the second best month I had in twelve years. Oddly, the best month was Sept, three years ago.

I have been on a sales run since Dec 25, 2014.

Congrats! It's always nice to hear good things about sales performance. Mine have been meh. Last year at this time was much faster paced but my area is probably more volatile.

Funny, I had a really good September, with a sudden inexplicable burst of sales after a long slow summer, but October is looking dismal.  One sale since Oct. 10th.  Not good, and very odd for this time of year, which has traditionally been my busiest.

I'm beginning to think that buyers of my type of items have abandoned eBay, since the same things are doing fairly well elsewhere.

I think blackouts are in effect.

I get 6 sales in one day then nothing for several days, then 1 sale then nothing again.

Mine are about the same for Sept as for Oct.  In Sept I sold 58, so far this month I have sold 48, with 8 days to go.  last Oct 2014, I only sold 34, so I am ahead from last year, although I have a couple of hundred more listed than last year.

What I have noticed is that there isn't as much interest in Christmas CD's as there was last year.  I was spending my freebies listing Christmas, and because no one is buying, I'm going to wait until next month to list.

Maybe the customers are in a buying mood.

We put up our latest catalogue on Stamp Auction Network and had bids within two hours.

This was our last one:

BTW, the values on the various lots may give some of you an idea of why ricarmic and pierrelebel know about tracked and express shipping. These don't go lettermail.

Neither months were spectacular.  My best month ever was September 2014, I sold just a few dollars shy of $40,000.

Most of it was for an expensive china set plus serving pieces.
