I am just wondering whether everyone has signed up for managed payments? Is it already working. I have hesitated as my money goes into a US bank account and wonder how that is going to work? What is the cut off day to sign up and what happens when that day comes around?

Did you get a letter saying that you need to change by a specific date? Not all sellers will be changing over at the same time so unless you got the email with all of the info, you won’t need to change yet.

Did you get a notification to sign-up by July15th?

July 15th is the deadline for this round of inductee's. I believe eBay will be activating those accounts by the end of July/20.

Your right… there isn't an actual date. It looks like my last message was Jun.2/20 also. I know it's July.15/20 because I read all the posts on eBay.com.

Here's the original message sent on Apr.21/20. I know the US Sellers have to register by July.15/20 so perhaps Canadian Sellers will have a register deadline at a later date...

In the coming weeks, we will start to enable registration for some sellers whose features and tool usage is compatible with managed payments. You may receive a notice inviting you to register for eBay managed payments.

If you receive a notification, we encourage you to register. Registration can be completed in a few simple steps. However, nothing will change in how you manage your business until your account is activated, and we will notify you in advance.
If you don’t receive a notification straight away, there is no action required at this time. We’re enabling sellers whose businesses match best with the features that are currently available. As we continue to expand our features, we’ll keep you informed and notify you to register when we can support the needs of your business.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.... I'm glad you asked because I've been so involved in the eBay.com discussions that I just assumed Canadian Sellers also had until July.15/20.

eBay says register NOW... if you have received the registration email

The sellers that register now will be transferred to Managed Payment at about July 15, 2020.

Do not wait.... Register now... If you do not .....then you will be removed from eBay.

All sellers will be transferred to Managed Payments..... but not all sellers at the same time.

Registration was completed in early May, 2020....... Then the following message was received.....

We’ll notify you before activating your account for managed payments, starting late July 2020.

The key words are... Register now.....

Do not hesitate... or it could be the end of selling on eBay....

and..... the information for Managed Payments is different for Canadian sellers.

The biggest concern was for Canadian sellers who sell in US dollars on eBay.com

eBay was working to set up an option for these Canadian sellers to transfer the payments received as US dollars to a US dollar account....

Have not been given any instruction yet by eBay that I need to register, but to me The key words are the date given to sign up by or else not the "Register Now" The only reason to pay heed to the "Register Now" is to gain access to any additional information available for MP...

eBay's secretive approach to this whole MP system is not exactly a trustworthy approach. When sellers have to register before they can gain further access to the necessary information for a very important step to being able to continue selling on a site, that is an indication it's time to move on...

I no longer get enough sales on eBay to warrant going forward into this MP mess, so I shall be moving onward whenever eBay takes away my ability to list items here. I will stay until eBay has strangled my selling ability, but I will not miss the eBay that has squeezed every bit of goodness from this site...

I’ve been selling here for 15 years and have not yet received any message about signing up for managed payments. No message at all on either of my accounts. I guess they are doing it in stages.
