Tracked Package Shipments to the USA

As a heads up to the continuing saga of bad tracking info in eBay, I processed a shipment last weekend. It was small so just used the local community mail box(Sunday evening) for convenience. Normally I would drop off at the closest depot to get the initial scan. The only scan showing was label created. Because there were no further scans happening on this parcel I signed up for tracking updates. There has been crickets so I followed up with CP this morning(Monday) and opened a trace. CP had no rational explanation. This item was just delivered according to tracking update and confirmed in USPS. Item had no intermediate scans and presently nothing showing in eBay for the item being delivered. According to eBay tracking scheduled delivery is May 24th.

Re: Tracked Package Shipments to the USA

Being it has been delivered you dodged a bullet there!  During the last minute Christmas rush I waited in line at the Post Office. A lady with a big box of labelled products (maybe 30 or 40 items) didn't want to wait.  She  left it sitting on the counter.  Looked like cosmetics. Eventually one of the staff determined there was something wrong with all of her labels. They said someone will try to call her in the morning. Anyone could have helped themselves as well. I've asked them to instal a proper drop box but no dice so I get them scanned. Hoping for the day when pickups at home make more sense.

Re: Tracked Package Shipments to the USA

The same thing has happened to me numerous times, so now I always have my shipments dropped off and scanned at a CP outlet. If I throw them in a mailbox I have a 50/50 chance of it being scanned along it’s way. One parcel around Christmas time never arrived at its destination and I had no proof that I’d dropped it off so that was when I stopped using mailboxes except for stamped mail. You’re not alone!
