US FedEx option disappeared

Hey all,

Just made my first few sales in the last two weeks and had something funny happen during one of them.

I was selling a book and a US buyer wrote me to ask about shipping costs, I told him I was charging the bare minimum of what Canada Post has and couldn't really mark it down at all. He was fine with that and placed the order.

When I got to the screen where one would confirm everything and print the shipping label, I noticed that it offered other shipping options which included FedEx that came out to be a bit cheaper and faster than Canada Post. I wrote him and told him I'd be changing it and he was grateful.

I remember the FedEx options had little green text above it that said something like "Ship through Ebay and get x0% discount".

The only thing is, now that I am listing more products I cannot get those options to come up for US shipping on a product page? Is there any way to offer FedEx as an option? It was really convenient and for a number of reasons I'd prefer to use them rather than CP.

I went back to the label printing page and see that it was FedEx International Economy, and it tells me that I saved 80% by using it. Shipping a book from Atlantic Canada to Michigan was $22 CAD

Thank you.

You have to use a flat rate cost if you want to have Fedex as an option on your listing form. That doesn't work well if you are using expedited US as the rate varies but it would work with Tracked Packet for items under 2kg as those rates are based on weight, not distance.  Since Fedex is a new option for ebay shipping and I don't use it, I'm not sure how much the rate varies from one side of the country to the other.

There is also a glitch on the listing form right now so if you are using calculated shipping for Canada and a flat rate for the US, its probably best to fill out the info for the US first.
