It looks like more unnecessary streamlining to the listing page by eBay.
From my perspective it will missed.....

I want to see views and watchers on the listing page.... It's a visual thing, and more stimulating.
I don't want to see it from a generic active listing chart perspective.
I guess we each do things differently. I prefer to look everything on one page. I don't have to click on each listing to see how many views there are. Perhaps your memory is better than mine...by the time I clicked on 3 or 4 listings I would have to go back to the first one again to see what the number was. lol

Yes Auctiva did have a counter when I first started listing.

Out of curiosity, please check a couple of my listings to see what is shown as far as views and watchers.
Dreamcast Banner-Shows 1212 views at the top, and a counter near the bottom, has 14 watchers-not shown on listing with desktop.
Black AMC/JEEP Mud Flaps-247 views top and bottom. has 10 watchers not shown on desktop.
Hoyle Casino-589 views top and bottom, has 5 watchers not shown on DT.
Yes, all are correct.. I believe if you listed on eBay.COM your watchers would show in the listing.

Thank you for checking, the Mud Flaps are on .com hence the USD price. Are you saying the watchers show up if I looked at it from the .com site? I only checked if from the .ca side of things.
Also, whenever we use "sell similar" are we using the old original selling page with the counter still embedded on it?

I don't know why your watchers don't show up on the listing page (they should).
I use a old listing page too (sell similar) but the view counter has now been deleted.
I spoke to a CS Rep Friday night and they said that eBay was permanently removing it. Enjoy it while it lasts.....

The Watchers function on the item listing is a great way to get people to purchase so I hope that is not removed. People are more likely to make a purchase if they "fear" losing out and if an item has multiple watchers and a qty of one that may motivate them to buy. Also, did you know that you can watch your own items? I recently did an experiment where I had items with habitual watchers, you know, the items with one watcher month after month. Once they see that others are watching the item they buy because of the fear of missing out!

Watchers are still going to show on the listing except that only 5 or more will be visible. So your item will need to have 5 or more watchers before it is displayed on the listing page.
Unfortunately 1-4 will not be visible. The reasoning behind this decision still has me scratching my head.
The view counters are finally back and working consistently.....
