Hi all,
I read the CP and ebay information regarding the end of small packet surface mail, as well as the end of the included insurance in small packet airmail shipments.
However, lately whenever I pop over to the CP website to get an estimate for shipping, even if the package size and weight is within the light packet restrictions, light packet is not shown as an option. What gives? I though they were just getting rid of small packet surface.
I have been able to choose light packet as a shipping option through PayPal, but is that about to go the way of all things as well? When items are light and inexpensive I always prefer using the light packet option because it is quite a bit less expensive than small packet so it is more attractive to buyers.
Any information anyone has would be appreciated.
Cheers!
Heather

Dennis, that last rate interests me.
Yesterday I sold an item not on ebay and printed the postage from PP. It was just under 1kg and it cost me $16.60. The regular rate was $16.82 and PP gleefully informed me of my 22¢ savings.
I just went into the snap ship via the CP web site and logged in. After entering exactly the same details from yesterday's item, it gave me $16.60.
Where did you get $14.11 from?

Did you continue on to the second page on snap ship? That's where you will see the additional discount.

If you start from ebay .com you shouldn't see any canada post services, they would all be for usps but yes, you should see light packet if you start at .ca. You won't see light packet if you start directly from paypal.
