Almost tagged on to ricarmic's post but thought I should start a new one here. Canadian listing on .com but paying my store fees in US$ because that is how I set up my store many years ago. I'm tired of paying in US and having it converted to Cdn. Does anyone know if my store categories will disappear if I cancel my .com store and open one on .ca? Is there a way to make the change without messing things up?

Having a store has nothing to do with the listings. The listings will remain on .com as you listed them. The store is just the ability to do marketing, get the supplies coupon, see the research feautre and a couple other things like more "free" listings (that your paying for with the subscription each month).
I switched years ago (like 7 or 8 when I realized .ca had a cheaper store)

My first though is that if you close a .com store and set up a .ca store you may have to redo your store preferences again which would include your store categories. But..and this is just a guess... I don't think that your store categories that you have on each listing itself would disappear so once you set up your .ca categores, those current listings would automatically show up under the store category it was originally in.
Even if it does involve some extra work, I think the savings would we worthwhile.

Exactly, the savings alone over time is well worth it. Not sure why anyone in Canada would have a .com store anymore, doesnt make sense with the exchange rate. Even if you have 1000 listings that might need some changes to them (item specifics that are grandfathered as per another other poster recently), do 10 a day for a month or two.
