When you make a one time payment to Ebay, is it normal to get confirmation of payment received?

This is my third month in MP.  All my fees are now being deducted at time of sale..  To my surprise, I still received an invoice this month.  It was for my store fees.  I thought they were supposed to be deducted from my available funds/bank account but whatever.

The email says i have no payment method selected and i have to pay immediatly.  So i  pay with Paypal, using the 'make a one time payment' link in the invoice.

Payment goes smoothly but then.......nothing.  No acknowledgement of any kind from Ebay that payment has been received.  Since there is no longer any way to check my balance owing with Ebay, now that i'm in MP (it used to be at the bottom of the Seller Hub page but vanished shortly after i was enrolled  in MP), i have no idea if my payment has been applied properly or if i can look forward to a huge hassle with Custom Service trying to explain what is going on.

Even the simplest tasks are now a chore on Ebay.

Go to My eBay-> Selling-> Seller Hub

Go to -> Payments

Go to-> Reports.

You can download Reports from there.

The Payments drop down menu has other possiblities.

Summary includes the amount being Held until the next transfer.

that doesn't help.  It does not show any information regarding fees i owe or owed ebay via a pre managed payments style invoice.  And even though i am in MP now for 3 months, i am still getting invoices from Ebay.

the only way i have thought of to be able to confirrm my payment was received by ebay was to try and make another one time payment.  When i did , it showed the balance now owing was $0, whereas before it showed the balance owing was for basic store fees for one month.

so at least i know that my payment was processed in some way and didn't just go into a black hole at ebay.

it's extremely unprofessional for a multi billion dollar high tech company like ebay to not even email a 'payment received' notification, after a seller makes a payment of fees owed.

@fergua3

If I recall you're one of us "lucky" ones that got our US ID converted to a Canadian one right?

If that is correct, as far as I can see we actually have 2 ids now the Canadian one which is active and the old US one which is inactive.

When I was converted, I had to pay two sets of store fees, the "final" US id store fees and then the "new" Canadian ID store fees for the partial month. The US store fees had to be paid the old PAYPAL way. I checked my records and I had a record of what was owed, and I have the PAYPAL payment covering it. I don't think I got any ebay notification about it being paid, technically that is probably because it was against the inactive id. The amount owing dropped to zero in the picture below.

Since then my inactive US ID has a credit of $3.72 (from returns) so I'm not hearing anything now.

Is it possible these are your final partial store fees from before you migrated to MP? If you look at your MP payments you should see the recent store fees in there as well?

The place where I saw the outstanding US id fees was on the "PAYMENTS" tab where it says next invoice:

Note that on that portion of the tab picture above:

-clicking on Invoice sends me correctly to the Canadian tax invoices

-clicking on Make Payment takes me to the OLD US id payment options

This might be why they stopped converting IDs because it leaves eternal limbo stuff.....

Anyway that is the long version of it is possible the store fee is the final old one, you'll have to look in your latest MP reports to see if they are taking your store fees correctly out of your bank account now too...

No.

When I used to make one-time payments I never got an email from ebay telling me I had paid.

The payment did show in the monthly details.

no, my situation is a bit different from yours.  I now have 2 accounts like you...an old, now inactive, US DOLLAR account and a new MP active CANADIAN DOLLAR account (because i chose to have my payouts in Canadian dollars.)  My store is still on .com.

No store fees have ever been taken from my MP account.  I was expecting it to happen this month but instead i got a pre MP style invoice with only my .com store fees on it.  Once again my Paypal payment method has been disabled (this is the second time it was disabled since being enrolled in MP).  This time i have no option to re-establish Paypal as a payment method, so i had to go the 'one time payment' route.

Whether going forward this will be the way i pay my store fees every month or not, i don't know.  Time will tell.

I had the same/similar thing happen a couple of months ago.  I got an invoice saying that it needed to be paid immediately.  I was confused about it too but put off looking into it and  then a few days later it came out of my payout account so all was well.  I'm sure that I still get an invoice and then a few days later the money comes out.

that's interesting.  I actually waited a week before i made my 'one time payment', just in case something like that happened.

But after a week nothing came out of my available funds or bank account so i decided to do the one time payment as it was getting close to the end of the month and i didnt 't want to run the risk of making a one time payment and then have an automatic payment of some kind go through.  Knowing Ebay as i do i figured that was a very real possibility.

Will be interesting to see what happens next month......every one has been different from the previous in MP world...   🙄
