buyer changed their mind on returning for partial refund

Buyer has changed her mind on returning and wanted partial refund, I agreed but now we both don't know how to do that.  Does the buyer have to cancel returns? first then ask for partial refund?  Please help someone.

Unwanted advice-- most old time sellers here will counsel you against partial refunds.

We tend to think of them as post-sale discounts.

If it's good enough to keep, it's good enough to pay for.

My standard Message in requests for return, replacement, or refund is:
"I regret you are unhappy with your purchase. Please return it for refund."

YMMV - but it is easy for a new seller to be taken in by unwarranted claims.

I believe they have to cancel the refund before you can do a partial refund.  Once they do that, go to sellers hub / all orders and click on the arrow next to that transaction.  One of the options is 'send refund'.  Enter an amount and a reason  for the refund.
