Hey guys!
I just sold something to a WA state buyer and it has the message
-----------
eBay note: This total includes tax that eBay is required to collect from your buyer. You can view the amount paid to you in the sales record." underneath the sale.
------------
This is the first time I'm seeing this. eBay really doesn't give much details but the buyer was charged about 12US$ (~14%) in taxes and eBay is keeping it.
Is this something new?
Is it likely going to become like this for all my US sales?
Is there any implications for me?
Will I have to declare anything about these taxes in my own tax report?
Thanks!

EBay is assessing, collecting and remitting sales taxes from buyers in Washington state due to new enforcement of 'internet sales taxes'.
There are two other states which are also doing this.
It's between the buyer and his state government.
The "amount paid to you" will not include the tax.
You don't receive anything so it has no implications for your own tax reporting.
