A buyer has purchased an item from us who is located in argentina but when i went to buy a shipping label through ebay it says to check if the parcel size is within limits (it is) and if the address is correct. Does anyone know if theres a formatting difference between canada and argentina that is causing this and how to fix it?

Find it and add it to the digital wallet on your phone. Then you should never have to worry.

Thank you for the update on your success in shipping it. I'm curious about the delivery to Argentina as well. When that happens would you please let us know if the delivery also went smoothly?
Thank you.

Yes, i can make another update when it's delivered or if an issue arises.

When I forget my card, the clerk usually can find the SfSB account from my phone number.
It is easier because I only have one number and it's a landline, so I don't have a bunch of numbers to remember.

Great! thank you.
Speaking for myself and others we've lost opportunity in many European countries due to their extravagant new import rulings. It would be great to increase sales to South America if the standard of security and eBay protection is in the favor of Canadian sellers.

No amount of eBay protection will help you when packages never get delivered or they are held up in customs for weeks or even months.
Postal services to South American countries ranges for pretty bad to terrible, customs are brutal in most SA countries, service can be very slow and import taxes extreme.
Over the years I had reasonable luck with Chile, pretty bad with Brazil and Argentina. I never made enough sales to other SA countries to get a good feel but they are all at best very slow. Like many other countries Priority Express International is the best service to use, even better if you can avoid the postal systems entirely (like the Miami based forwarders do).

Thank you.
I generally rely on Xpresspost when necessary. I wonder what the Canada Post delivery statistics are to each SA country? There must be massive amounts of daily mail and gift packages sent from Canadians and tourists to relatives/ friends in South America.
It would be nice to know if things improve.

UPDATE: The parcel was held in customs for over a week, but has now been marked as delivered, so hopefully everything has gone well.

Good stuff glad things worked out. If, in the future you ever need to more detailed tracking always best to check the local postal service website. There are many cases where their service does not speak to our service it what we call as "real time." I've attached the link with an index to members of the Univeral Postal Service (An Post) and Argentina below.

PS. For future reference eBay deactivevates the tracing attached to the transaction at around the 3 month mark. The tracking info at the specific websites is available much longer.
