ive had managed payments for over a month now, everything was fine untill the last 3 payments, they have not gone through,...i get this message  -Declined Waiting for retry- i have over 500 bucks owed to me by ebay. ive been on the phone with them and they said they will retry....im starting to get worried as i found out others have been waiting months where ebay has been holding thousands of dollars for months, has anyone else had this problem? should i stop shipments until money goes into the bank?

I've also had this problem.  Just started this week, everything was fine with deposits until then.  I'm looking at about $2000 waiting to be deposited.  It appears the last couple of times it happened they resolved fairly quickly.  I'm getting very frustrated because there is no way to contact them.  It seems they have disabled all contacts.  I think your idea of pausing listings may be a good one.  If we halt our sales maybe it will get there attention.

I'm supposed to sign up for managed payments by Tuesday and I'm getting really nervous about doing so. On the one hand, if I sign up on time, I risk not getting paid. On the other hand, if I hold off, my listings go into no-mans land, and i won't be able to revise any if i need to.

I'm quite frankly DISGUSTED that a major corporation would roll out such a significant change, and force sellers to use it without being able to properly support it (let alone not test it properly).

Why should we be forced into a change that is riddled with problems?

Riddled with problems for some, working smoothly for others......

 

I don't know what the issues are but my transfers since being induced in September have ALL happened as planned and on time with no glitches.

Just checked my payment - seems to be ok.  Payment was sent Tues morning and was in my bank Wed morning.

 

I agree - if you can't get your money, there is no point in selling.  Sheesh!

Hi leaken.....

I've been experiencing the same issue. I finally got a hold of a rep via live chat. They told me its a glitch in the system & would be fixed by 5pm yesterday. STILL NOTHING. My items are selling left & right, I keep shipping out to customers, meanwhile my processed payments keep failing totalling close to $600 & this has been since Friday last week. Cant even get a hold of anyone as of 9am this morning. I'm so upset.

Yes, this happened to me too today.  Signed up with managed payments a month ago like a good boy when asked . Now today I received the same message. No money...Kind of takes the fun out of listing.

Good to hear! I'm sure if it was happening to everyone, it'd be all hands on deck. It seems like all of the numerous selling glitches they've been having these days are only hitting a small percentage of sellers. But add them up, and they're not able to support them. I've been selling on ebay for 20 years. I've never had the problems I've been experiencing in the past year. They can blame Covid all they want, but hey were in control of the managed payment roll-out timeframe. They CHOSE to do it during Covid. They essentially chose to roll out something they could not fully test and support.

If this helps, this is my FIRST "Managed Payments" payout. It "bounced" or as eBay says "declined" a week ago. Still no funds. If you're relying on using your eBay funds for necessities I suggest you hold off from signing up.  I would print out a copy of this thread to send to them and wait until this is resolved.

   One important thing no one has mentioned... eBay has had no problems taking their fees out of the bank accounts on time. The store subscription and final value fees came out of my bank account immediately and 2 days before they used to come out of my Pay Pal account!

   It's not just the missing deposits you have to think about. Let's say your "gas tank will have a hole in it!"

   40 years ago I had an employer bounce my pay cheques to fund his own business. This feels like that...

Sellers have been using MP for over 2 years so it wasn't just  rolled out and for most sellers, it was working as intended.  It's odd that  sellers who weren't having problems are having them now.  Perhaps they changed something and it's affecting payouts....it would be very frustrating!

From what I see there has been no eBay representative  chiming in. Certainly they have been made aware their Sellers who've complied with Managed Payments are getting stiffed.

Tomorrow (Sunday) if I've received no deposit from eBay I promise to see this travisty through. "Customer Service". That's what Ebay endorseas to us repeatedly. In a situation like this, if EBay was run by a a donkey, the donkey would be intelligent enough to contact all effected sellers with an explanation.

Tomorrow I'm ending my 2nd "Tues to Mon" payment period. Not a penny from sales has been returned to me. .. so that's two weeks now.  I changed my "Payment Settings" to daily. I had it set on weekly which means Tuesday payouts.  Not sure if it will make any difference. At least there are a few more days to fix it instead of skipping a week until this is resolved. On February 1 Ebay successfully deopsited 1 cent into my account. On February 16 they successfully removed their subscription fee from the account.  I have a lot of questios: Why are affected  Sellers having trouble getting Ebay to communicate with them over this? the error message we are getting gives them a clear indication of whowe are? I have to ship within my allocated 48 hour window. No money or communication coming from them for two weeks is hypocritical.. Is this happening in the USA too or are Ebay Canada Sellers experiencing yet another "Gliche" as seems to have become commonplace. Yes I'm whining but isn't having your paycheck withheld worth whining about?

I agree. this is a BIG BIG deal. Loosing the pictures a year ago was a big deal but losing the money kinda tops that!

If you go to Seller Hub/Payments/Payouts on the right side of the page is a HELP button. Clicking that will give you following the lone FAQ "

Why has my payout failed?
A payout may fail if your checking account has not been verified, your bank reverses the payment, or your bank account has been closed."

Because none of these events have happened it appears eBay has some how screwed up their bank verification connections. 

 

   I contacted Tyler (our eBay.ca liason) asking hime to follow up on this thread. Being Tuesday today he has some sort of online Weekly Seller Question thing happening. Just found out about these so you may want to see if he follows through. He hasn't gotten back to me.

   

   Failing that I contacted "Ebay For Buisness" on Facebook. They advise to get in touch with a Managed Payments specialist. Here is their response.  I have to remove the eBay html from the link to post this.  Ebay For Business "That's absolutely a concern. In order to get this resolved for you we would need you to speak on the phone with one of our Managed Payments specialists. You can request a call back here: https ******************  by clicking "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. Depending on the volume of calls at the time you request yours, there may be a wait time for your call, but you won't have to wait on hold your request for a call will be put in a queue and one of our trained agents will call you. Hope this helps! Jenniffer"

 Feb 24 UPDATE: I asked "Ebay's Tyler" over on the Weekly Chat board. He is not familiar with resolving MP issues.  Both Tyler  & Ebay For Business recommended I contact a Managed Payments specialist. I bit the bullet and left a request for a Call Back.  Ebay called back within 30 minutes!

   The rep checked out the issue. She said yes, they could see an issue at their end. She assured me it would not happen again.  I would have to wait another 4 days to receive my payouts. It appears this issue just effects some sellers. 

   I recommend you go to the "Contact Us" section and find "Selling". Look through the choices until you find "How Payouts work for managed payment sellers" or "Submitting or Updating your information for managed payments" These will get you to an MP specialist.  

   Go to the bottom and click "Have Us Call You".
 I will update this when payouts finally make their way into my bank account.... Thanks

It's closing time Friday. Another Seller was nice enough to ask me "How do I feel?" I haven't seen any updates from other Sellers who complained on this forum they were waiting for their proceeds of sales. It would be nice if those who complained about Declined Managed Payments" on the various threads would provide an update.  Here's mine. 

 

   I promised the MP rep on Feb 24 I would wait 4 more days.  I'm waiting because I can.  Maybe some of you can't. I sent a large item to Ohio and paid $105 for shipping out of pocket. I've contacted eBay For Business, the  eBay MP office and Tyler. Tyler passed me on without assistance, EBay for Business passed me on and now I'm waiting 4 "business" days (6 actually) for my money as advised by the MP rep. So far none of them have looked in on me. How does it feel I was asked....?

 

   Managed Payments, no wait, specifically Managed Payments CANADA is eBay's program. It's  not the banks'. eBay processed the MP applications. eBay tested the seller accounts for functionality. eBay made promises for a better "Seller Experience", not the banks.   From what I see loyal Sellers accepted MP (like all the other mandatory rollouts) and complied as best they can. "The buck" lands on eBay, litterally. 

 

    Managed Payments is eBay's "widget".  Ebay sold it to Sellers.  Many seemed to have received broken widgets.  Ebay needs to communicate, acknowlege us and honor the "Ebay Guarantee".  

 

   MP is an "Item Not As Described".  Fix it, replace it, refund it within a reasonable amount of time. Isn't that what Sellers do?  

 

   Some of us are selling and not getting paid. Some are having trouble getting paid.  Some can't pay their operating expenses. Sellers can't comply with Revenue Canada's GST requirements. My payouts have been "bouncing" for weeks. How much time is reasonable?

   

   2020 proved Canadians and the world want to purchase from us  online. Buyers are knocking at the door. I don't have time to troubleshoot this. I'm trying to move from a hobby to full time.  I have thousands of items to list but I'm here instead. EBay is supposed to be my partner.

 

   How do I feel? Unsure, embarrassed and somewhat foolish.  I started Managed Payments in January. I owned a large brick & mortar store for over 20 years. When people don't pay you you stop selling to them or through them. Tomorrow is Saturday. Not an eBay business day. The next... Sunday. Another non business day... 

  I sincerely hope Andrea Stairs gets this message. It's meaningful. 

   Anyway, that's how I feel about not getting paid.   Thanks for asking.

I see that this thread is several months old but thought I would chime in anyways as I am having a similar issue. I signed up for managed payments,thru my online banking portal, on Apr 28 th and received my message that all was set up and good to go. I made my first 2 sales on Apr 29th and here we are at May 11 th and I still have not received a payout. I did receive emails and Ebay messages on May 4th , May 6th and today (May 11th ) that my payout was sent and that it may take an additional 1-4 days to end up in my bank. I have been on the phone with the MP team several times and no one seems to be able to give me any guidance at all as to what may be going how and how to fix it. The bank sees nothing pending or failed on their end yet the MP team keeps telling me to wait it out. Luckily,after the first payout did not go thru, I did have enough sense to put my listings on "time way" mode so that I wasn't out anymore money. I cannot see how this system has made it any easier for the seller at all. I used to receive money orders in the mail faster back about 20 years ago and never had a problem like this with Paypal. On a rather funny note...When I did call my bank to see if they could help with the issue,the bank rep suggested "you may want to use Paypal "I onl;y wish there was an option to switch back...At least until they get my problem fixed!

Click on the transaction details for each payout -- what does it tell you?

 

I assume you have checked to make sure the account number is correct, and it is a chequing account. Your bank would be able to confirm the correct numbers (including any leading zeroes) to use for your account.
