What is being mailed? Does it have commercial value? Is it printed matter? Envelop needs to be no greater than 2 cm thick to use letter rates. Note: Rates are based on final package weight. You can confirm rates with above tool from @femmefan1946

It also depends on the weight.

Don’t forget though, there is no tracking on letterpost. I do use it frequently myself and don’t worry about tracking, especially on a $20 item.

If it is lightweight and qualifies as oversize lettermail.
Oversize lettermail (less than 2cm/0.8" thick) -- no tracking
1-100g .... $6.39
101-200g ... $11.14
Heavier than 200g use Small Packet International Air or Tracked Packet International
Prices are in 250g steps plus fuel surcharge minus discount (if using ebay Labels or if you have a Canada Post Small Business card). Use the Canada Post website calculator for prices.
New Zealand will take longer than normal to arrive due covid-19 air flight restrictions.
