Do you have AdBlock installed?

For the longest time, I resisted doing this because as a seller I wanted to see what ads were being thrown against my Item pages which might conflict with my own listings but eventually the site loaded too slowly for me to easily do my work.

So I downloaded AdBlock and never looked back.

No problems here.

I just clicked on one of my listings randomly and AdBlock Plus told me it was stopping TEN ads on the page.

Wow.

You shouldn't have to run AdBlock Plus to surf a website.

eBay.CA supports malicious advertising. My Malwarebytes virus protection has blocked so many malware threats from surfing on eBay.ca.

GO to eBay.COM for problem free surfing.....

Oh, I don't know about that.

ebay.com has many 'features' that I find distract me from my browsing experience.

I'm perfectly happy staying on ebay.ca and would never tell buyers to shop elsewhere.

AdBlock prevents annoyances from appearing on all the websites that I visit.

Of course, you may feel differently about it since you list in USD on ebay.com and there is no advantage to Canadian buyers seeing your listings on ebay.ca. I like my customers to come to ebay.ca where it is clear they are getting what they want from me: items listed in CAD that are shipping from Canada.

I would definitely say so..

eBay.COM runs smoothly and trouble free.

The eBay.CA site runs slowly, and freezes up. I get unwarranted sound bites from overly aggressive advertising that kicks in from nowhere.

My Malwarebytes protection constantly blocks malware when I'm surfing eBay.CA.

I was using my Android phone one day when I clicked on a ad on eBay.ca by accident and it locked out my internet with a virus. I had to go to MTS to get my phone wiped.

I cannot and will not recommend eBay.CA to anyone until they clean up their act.

This problem was brought up by several eBay sellers that have posted on these boards at one time or another and we got nothingness as an answer except to say that the advertising was needed for their revenue stream.

You also follow the posts on these boards and know that this problem has come up on numerous occasions throughout the past year.

I have a solution, it's eBay.COM.

Or you could use the ebay app. No malware there.

Or perhaps your browser settings could be set to more stringent at defensive maneuvers. I've never experienced the problems that you describe either on the site or on my mobile device.

Those are at least two more possible solutions that fix your problem without driving away buyers from ebay.ca for purposes in which only hold meaning to you. I don't share your opinion, nor support your advice to avoid ebay.ca.

Bring it up with Tyler at the Weekly Chat. Or shall I?
