Good Morning Raphael. I signed up for a store yesterday on .ca. When I look at my store on .com all the prices are in USD, which is great but when I look at my store on .ca, all the prices are in USD even though it is a Canadian $ listing. That seems weird.

Whenever I list music books they default to Like New even when I chose Good before listing, I have to always go into the listing and revise them.
Also, when is Canada going to get variation listings for magazines?-I’ve seen some already for US and UK sellers

A seller received an offer for an eBay store for 25% off for four months. But the prices are for old store rates.
The sellers called eBay and the prices are incorrect and was given the correct store prices. The promo needs to be corrected (as usual for eBay.ca promos).
In my opinion the stated rates in the email should be honoured as it is false advertising to "bait and switch". Most companies would honour the email rates for anyone who received the email until corrected. What will eBay.ca Canada do for this seller?

Thanks Poco, that was me!

Hi Raphael,
I'm seeing the opposite from "musicyouneed". When I look at my store on eBay.com all the prices are in CDN, and when I view my store on eBay.ca all the prices are in USD.
Why is this? Is it perhaps from my viewpoint only?
Thanks....

Yes, I know but did not want to use your ID without permission.

Also when I go to ebay.UK and look at my store, the amounts are in Canadian. Which is what they should be on .ca. Weird.

Hello Silverpinups
I'm seeing both in US dollars, on .ca and .com
08-17-2016 12:27 PM
And on the German website it shows in Canadian dollars too? So on the US and Canadian it shows the prices as USD and on the UK and German ebay sites it shows it as Canadian.

Hi Raphael,
May I ask you to please confirm that in the current promo, as long as an item is listed during the promo period it doesn't matter when it sells, provided the sale price is $50 or more (and all the other stipulations are met)? Is that correct?
Also, I presume that $50 is in CDN for the .ca side of the promo and $USD on the .com side? I'm asking because by activating the promo on .ca, I notice it's been activated on .com as well.
Thanks!

For PayPal and Pitney Bowes attention:
Incomplete Canada Post Small Packet USA return address (don't know if this applies to other Canada Post services). Last seen August 16.
Example seller address:
YPDC Dennis
Unit B
99 Sales Ave
Cambridge, ON, N1R 4A4
Before printing, all info is shown correctly by paypal, but when I print the label I get:
YPDC Dennis
Unit B
Cambridge, ON, N1R 4A4
for the return address. This is not desireable. The printed return address, if the package ever had to be sent back, will fail. And it's not as if Pitney Bowes has a shortage of blank space to print the address. This is a programming and Quality Control failure (speaking as someone who has dealt with computers for over 40 years),
Current work-around: Hand write the missing part of the return address.

Hi musicyouneed,
Store pages are designed to show prices in the buyer's currency. Are you logged in when you look at these pages? Are you using a VPN or anything else that might make your IP address look like you're located in the United States?

It seems to have corrected itself. Now when I look at my store while on .ca it is in Canadian funds.

For the last couple of days when I would print a label it would give me the option of using the new version or go to the classic version. I used both versions today but didn't think to check my return address before I mailed the packages. I wonder if this is just a problem with the new version or did you use the classic one?

Hi rainbow71113,
For the condition, can you give me more details? Does it do this for all song books, or only for old (vintage) ones? Can you share a couple of item numbers for listings that had that problem?
Variations - I'll have to engage with the selling team to find out whether there is a reason for not turning that on for the Magazines category, if no issues then we can turn it on.

Hi pocomo,
I have alerted the promo team of this. Thanks for reporting.

When I look at your store on eBay.ca, I see CAD prices.
For sure it has to do with your internet connection. The IP address is what we use to determine where a buyer is located, are you using a VPN connection that might alter your IP address? Also, does it change anything whether you're logged in or not?

Yes. To qualify, items only have to be listed during the promo period.

The promos on eBay.ca and on eBay.com aren't one and the same. They are 2 promos running in parallel. Please refer to the terms linked to when you look at the promo on eBay.com to see how that one works (likely the same).

Any comment on eBay honouring the prices in the email? Most companies honour advertised prices until corrected. At least for those who received the email and joined as a result of the email like musicyouneed did. Surely a company as large as eBay would follow established business practices that most companies follow.
