Not all Australia is problematic. I had a parcel arrive in seven calendar days. From Winnipeg. I'm two or three business days from Richmond. So the closer you are to the departure plant, the better.

I'm really close to Richmond. From my PO it goes straight to the processing plant at the airport. Yours is a priority because you pay for it. Mine goes on an airplane when they have room.

Meanwhile, my outgoing mail is still waiting in the red box at the end of my street. For the last FIVE days!

Yep, done.
On Wed I tried to open a ticket online. I completed all of the steps and got the message that they would email me the ticket number in a few moments. So far, nothing in my email.
Today when I called, they tried to tell me there is no box anywhere near the corner I stated. At least I got a ticket number, whatever use that is.

You sure that it's not a donation box. If it isn't now, looks like it will be one very soon.

@musicyouneed wrote:For me November was a problem too. I mailed one to spain on Nov 2/16, never showed up refunded, blocked Spain. Mailed 2 to Australia on Nov 21 still haven't shown up. Australia is a real problem for me, every month I have a few buyers from there and because the mail is so slow and their mail system is a mess, I may just have to block them until further notice.
I sent an item to Spain, Light Packet Air on Nov 24. It arrived 8 days later. My buyer was so happy with it, he wants 5 more!
When I have time, I try to describe the goods in the language of the destination country. My thought is that the customs guy at the other end can't know all the languages of the sending countries. Makes it easy for them to approve it. Anyone else do this?
I've also sold 12 items to Aus this year. No complaints so far. Are you getting defects from your Aus sales?

If you have the skills to translate into the language of destination, power to you. It will certainly aid Customs processing when HS CODES are not immediately visible on the packet.

You're probably right. I've got 6 items in that box, 3 ebay and 3 non-ebay.
I'm thinking of taping a note on the box warning my neighbours. Maybe if I include the 800 number a few will complain.

All is fixed now!
I know a guy who's in middle management at CP, so I sent him an email asking his advice. He made a quick ph call to the right guy in charge and within half an hour they had a guy at my red box! I even ran out there to meet the guy and thank him personally.

That's great news, I am very glad to hear it!
Isn't it incredible what you can get done if only you know the right person to call?

You're right. If you can only get past the 800 number people.
I sent an email to the guy I know at about 6:30pm, and it's his personal email. So he took his own personal time to make the call.
Then, the dispatcher who called me, told me in the end to keep his number in case I had other questions in the future. I was slightly dumbfounded by that offer.

I'm not surprised, in my own experience CP is generally staffed by very good people, being managed by sometimes very bad processes.
Some pretty crazy things have happened over the years in my we village/area..... thankfully I've always had awesome folks out here.....
