Can an existing active auction listing be changed to add a buy it now option or can the auction listing be changed from an auction format to a buy it now format? If yes to either of the two questions are there any restriction based on time remaining or whether there have already been some bids?
What can and cannot be changed depends on the time left and if there are bids, although it seems one of the things you cannot change is the format. The following link clearly outlines the restrictions and what can be added/changed under what circumstances:
An auction cannot be changed to another type of listing, such as a buy it now listing. You would have to end the listing and relist it as another format. If there are bids on the listing, you have to end the bids first.
