Good morning need a help how to handle return request from a customer from USA.The customer asked me to pay for return shipping on tote that doesnt match his previous Luggage set.He stated that is a different colour and do not match the description.Of course this model its completely different from what he have and we never said that he could match the tote with his luggage.eBay will aks us to pay for return shipping .What are my options? I will really appreciate your help.Its so confusing

Has this been recorded as a defect on your account yet?
That is, was the case escalated and found in favour of the buyer leaving you with a defect?

If that's where things currently stand, the OP definitely needs to appeal that defect based on the corresponding messages from the buyer that admit it was a remorse return. And the return shipping fees are not the OPs to pay. Nor would the original postage fees be refundable, necessarily.

It's too late now, and it's playing the system a little bit.............
but the reason I suggested paying once you saw that the item was on the way back to you via the tracking number was because that would have closed the case right away.
In situations where the buyer hasn't posted a tracking number on case details, the system reads it as refund with no return required.
Also, that would likely have meant that you weren't required to pay return shipping.
As it is now, the buyer paid return shipping, right? I'm not sure how or if eBay will take that money from your account or not but I'd be interested to know how they deal with that if you refuse to pay?

they just take all the money from PayPal.And this return its remorse .The message is in the return request .The bag didnt match her luggage set.Is this my fault? She is abusing the system and eBay let her go...Like many others

While I don't disagree with that necessarily, I will say the Customer Service Reps will do the easiest thing in this case -- which is to deny your appeal -- unless you force them to look at it, hard. Don't take 'no' for an answer. Ask to speak to their supervisor, and their supervisor's supervisor. I would fight this tooth and nail. You have clear evidence as admit by the buyer himself that this was a Remorse return.

This is confusing because you said that the item was en route back to you while the case was still pending. That means that the buyer bought the return label before you had even accepted the return.
Now it sounds like they went into your paypal account and sent the buyer the funds from your account to pay for return shipping.
If so, how much did they take out for return shipping.
I'm asking because I was told that they no longer take the money for return shipping out of seller's accounts without permission.
