Search list view shows returns not accepted on.ca?

I have 14 day returns on all of my items but when looking at 'see sellers other items' the list view shows that for most items, I don't accept returns.

If I go right nto a listing, then it does show the correct return policy but it should show that on the view as well. The second screen shot shows item 350825291170.

Some of the views do show that I accept returns but the following views show that I don't accept returns:

best match (screenshots are on best match)

ending soonest

newly listed

price plus shipping highest first

price highest first

When I search on .com the list view doesn't seem to show whether or not there are returns so the problem seems to be only on .ca.

I checked a few other sellers (Pierre, Femme, Triber, Surplus, lady.stark) and their listing also show as returns not accepted when looking at them on search view.

Note that if you click on view listings while on the messge board, the listings you see are showing on .com so you have to go to .ca to see the problem.

"I checked a few other sellers (Pierre, Femme, Triber, Surplus, lady.stark) and their listing also show as returns not accepted"

WOW !

That may explain why there is no Board Hour this week.  The staff and management in Toronto decided to hide instead of answering these questions. 😞

What are Canadian sellers supposed to do?  Sit quietly and take it? Let our American competitors take all the sales?

Hi pierrelebel,

Not sure what happened, but we were all waiting for folks to come in & ask questions: http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Weekly-Board-Hour-Session/July-3rd-Weekly-Board-Hour/m-p/127927#U127927

Feel free to drop me a note in the future about Board Hour if you're unable to access it.

Looking into this issue regarding members' items now.

Thanks,

That link leads to "The message you are trying to access is not available.".

Kalvin, here are three issues you can solve for me:

1. When I use sell similar, I change the title, description, and pictures. Check it over and submit. eBay only changes the title. The description and pictures revert back to the original, sold, listing. Sometimes. Off and on for the last year. "I dunno".

2. I use a string of car years in my titles. There is a certain string that tells my customer to phone me in Myanmar. Sometimes. "I dunno".

3. There is something in SOME of listings that triggers a message to be me the sold items details page that states "ePacket from Singapore". Sometimes. I am in Winnipeg. "I dunno".

Whoops - looks like we deleted that link earlier due to inactivity, sorry about that.

It sounds like something went wrong this week - did any of you try going through the Join Us URL on the Main Community page?

We'll post a Weekly Announcement moving forward to make sure there are multiple avenues available for members to access to reach us. If there's ever a time when we can't make it to Board Hour, we'll definitely make an announcement.

Thanks,

Hi Kalvin.

Please take my words in the positive context they are presented.

Your wrote: "due to inactivity"

Why is that?

We went through the same thing a few years ago (before your time) when the weekly chats were suddenly cancelled due to lack of participation (or interest).

Why would that be?

Why did members not show up today to ask their questions or express their concerns?

Maybe, the answer can be found in last week's hour:

http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Weekly-Board-Hour-Session/June-26th-Weekly-Board-Hour/m-p/125915#U125915

"Hopefully someone will find the time to answer the many questions raised in the last two weeks and still unanswered.  I do not see the point in asking again and again."

or: http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Seller-Central/Questions-for-eBay-ca-Management-about-GSP/m-p/94336#U943...

Possibly other members may have reached a similar conclusion.  What's the point to ask questions which go unanswered for weeks.

I always understood these weekly "meetings" as an opportunity for members to ask technical and policy questions and for eBay.ca staff and management to answer them.  Once the answers stop coming.... what's the point?

The old "Great question - I'll have to check with San Jose for an answer" is tiring, quite frankly.

And yes, I would still like to get answers - for myself and all other interested eBay.ca members - to ALL the unanwered questions raised in the last three weeks (see links above).

As far as the "weekly hours" are concerned, let me once again offer a few suggestions that have been offered previously:

1)  Open the thread a day earlier for members to post their questions and inquiries.  Not everyone can access the board at 1:00pm (Eastern) on Wednesday afternoon.  Opening a day earlier would allow members who can only attend during the evening, night or morning to ask their questions.

2) Leave the thread open for several hours after the closing time of 2:00pm allowing members to come with follow-up questions.  Too often, I see a rather incomplete answer given at 1:59 followed immediately by the last post "Thank you. See you next week".  If one of the purpose of this hour is to generate goodwill, that certainly does not do it.

3) Make sure participating staff members follow up - from week to week - to their "I'll let you know".  That, unfortunately, has not  always been the case. The questions are asked publicly and should be answered publicly for the benefit of all members.

Thank you for your time.

Search list view shows returns not accepted on.ca?

Just checked my items and most of mine also show up as returns not accepted on .ca when I go to "see sellers other items". This is not good, I have returns accepted within 14 days on all my items. I hope ebay will correct this asap!

Vintage, I'm not seeing what you are seeing. I have looked on dort ca and dot com. In your listings it shows returns. On a search, I simply see your items listed and no mention of returns at all.

I looked at vintage's listings on .CA, and a few are showing "returns accepted within 14 days". But most of them don't. As for my items, a few are showing returns accepted and many do not show it whereas I offer returns on ALL my items! Not good at all!! 😞

If, in ebay.ca.you "find items by seller - vintagenorth, or myself or countless others", you'll see Returns: Not Accepted for all listings. When you open the item, then you'll see "Returns: 14 day money back, buyer pays return shipping"

inuk, please take a look at http://www.ebay.ca/sch/pierrelebel/m.html?_ipg=&_from=&_nkw=&_armrs=1&rt=nc&_dmd=1

As you can see, all listings show "Returns: Not accepted"

This problem seems to occur for ALL Canadian sellers when viewed on eBay.ca by seller using the "list" view.

I went around a few different ways. The only way I can get returns not accepted to show, is to go into "see other items" from within a listing on dot ca . In a general search on dot ca or com, simply using ketwords, the items come up and no mention of returns.

On any sort of dot com search I do, I cannot get the phrase "returns not accepted".

That is correct.  The problem is only on eBay. ca

Good morning/afternoon Pierre. I know that a report has been filed and hopefully they are actually looking into it and fixing it today.

It's frustrating that they are constantly making changes to the sites and that those changes(often unnecessary) often lead to problems in different areas.

Inuk, from here, click on "View listings" and then change the URL to .CA 🙂
