What's the best alternative to PayPal

Many buyers cant use paypal because of the country they are in or because they don't have a credit card. I am looking for an alternative to PayPal for these buyers to use.

I'm interested in what other sellers use considering global availablity, cost and method of withdrawling funds from the account. Another important thing would be the exchange rate they give you (paypals US/Can exchange rate is horrible)

Some examples are StormPay and BidPay.

What do you think?

Best one I know of, for your own security, is BidPay.

One - buyers without a CC can still use Paypal by hooking it to their bank accounts.

Two - buyers without a CC can NOT use Bidpay, since it requires a credit card.

Google has also announced that they will be entering this space, but they don't have a solution yet. You might want to keep plugged into that, though. 🙂

Greenzap, if not being a scam itself, is at worst run by people who have a history of running MLM scams, and at best an unproven service that has already twisted one of their initial offers. The free $25.00 for signing up? Not real cash. You have to find other GreenZap members who will accept it as cash in order to buy anything.

Google "greenzap scam" and read some of the pages that come up to get much of the background information about the company and it's dubious owners.

Cheers,
Ernie.

Unfortunately, Checkfree is only available to U.S. residents, as stated in their T&C.

AlertPay looks promising, and headquartered in Canada, to boot. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. They're fairly new, though, and I don't know much about their background so I'm going to look more into them before I consider signing up.

Cheers,
Ernie.

i've tried www.moneybookers.com,

a UK company, fund upload by CC or local bank deposit in most european countries and Australia.

much less charge for seller than PP.

i just checked alertpay, but say frankly i don't think they have a good solution for CC payment.

refer to their fee table:
https://www.alertpay.com/SiteFees.aspx

Buyer has to pay 5% surcharge for fund upload by CC, and sellers has to pay 2.5%+0.25 to receive fund.

That means they charge 7.5%+0.25 for transaction by CC.

that's too much.......

Probably i have not found their hidden advantage.....

yes...paypal is still a good solution for small amount transaction...but we are paying too much for transaction with large amount...(2.5-2.9% paypal fee + 2.5% currency exchange )

I haven't had time to find out more about this but I once had a buyer send money via a postal wire transfer. He apparently went to his post office in Lativa and Canada Post sent me a corporate cheque a couple weeks later.

I use to use Hyperwallet. They were really good, and I have started to use them again. They do mostly bank transfers between canadian bank accounts. Very fast and reliable. Not sure how they work with CC's or internationally though.

Hello after 6 years on ebay I have found that for Canadian Buyer's paying Canadian seller's that the Best way to get paid immediately is by Interac Bank transfer. If both the buyer and seller do online banking it is an easy matter to transfer money...and the buyer pays $1.50 per transaction...the seller pays $0...I like that and wish more would pay that way...I then Like Postal MO from any Country....Pay Pal is FAST that's all I can say but ....PAY PAL can be a HORROR show with chargebacks and buyer complaints as what proof can you provide when you send small items by Lettermail or Regular Parcel....ZIPPO...as soon as there is a viable alternative to PayPal I am gone unless they provide a lot more protection to long-time honest Seller's and Not to a buyer who has 0 to 10 Feedback...anybody else out there think like me...ron
