Help Needed with Stuck Packages in LOCKPORT, ILLINOIS 60491

I am an international buyer, and several items I purchased seem to be stuck in Lockport, Illinois 60491  for a long time.

Could anyone please assist in resolving this issue and provide an update on the status of these packages?

I’m likely stating the obvious when I point out that you’ve posted to a community discussion board on the Canadian eBay site, @yong_2386. As fellow eBay users, we can only offer suggestions and a bit of guidance; we can’t help resolve your issues as that’s the job of eBay customer service and the reps need access to your purchase information which we can’t obtain.

How long have your items been in Lockport, and what are their estimated delivery dates?

And are your items being handled by eBay Internationally Shipping or are they being mailed through eBay International Standard Delivery? These two similarly-named services have some significant differences.

I'm just giving a heads-up to all eBay buyers—LOCKPORT, ILLINOIS 60491 this location is very slow. You'll definitely notice it.

enter your tracking number on parcelsapp.com.   With ebay's dumb shippng systems, the tracking number changes a couple of times as the package goes from one carrier to another, but ebay does not advise you of the tracking number changes.  Parcels app will show them all.   Your package might be moving but just appears to be stuck because it is now under a new tracking number.

I've been selling by mail order for about 40 years.  It's been my experience that shipments to and from the USA often take upwards of three weeks to arrive.

What was the date of purchase?

What was the date of delivery to the eIS plant?

What is the last estimated date for delivery to you in Canada?

If eIS misses that last date, whether lost or delayed, you have 30 days to open a Claim and get a refund on your purchase.

If the last date has not passed, the shipment is not lost or delayed.

It's just slower than you want it to be.

I bought a dress on July 30 from zuri.com . The company is in New York.

The shipment was in the mail the next day, but it was August 8 before it left the USA.

I received it August 15th in Victoria BC.

What is the date eBay told you your purchase would arrive by?

If you scan through these discussion boards, @yong_2386, you’ll find that there are quite a few posts from us Canadian eBay users about delays at the eBay International Shipping hub in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Lockport gets a couple of mentions but seems to be the location of a carrier that handles items once they leave the eIS hub. Parcelsapp might be able to identify the carrier. My guess is that it’s waiting for more items destined for New Zealand before proceeding.

There is something wrong with the Lockport depot... As a private person over many years sending things from UK to Lockport Illinois on the expensive 'fast service' that should take 4-5 days, it ends up taking 2-3 weeks!

Tracking an item now that was dropped of at post office in sleepy rural England late on Nov 18th... Entered USA 20th November and cleared customs on the same day... And yet been stuck in Lockport Illinois depot since 21 November – Today (7 DAYS LATER) still sitting in Lockport Depot.

Same situation with all the parcels I send to Illinois, no matter what they are (and all zero tax rated, customs cleared, non-commercial items).

As may have been mentioned earlier this is the eBay CANADA Board.

We are a different country than the USA with our own postal service.

If you are in Canada by some chance, you should know that Canada Post has been on strike for two weeks. EIS (USA) and GSP(UK) use assorted carriers for delivery in addition to Canada Post.
