Item Stuck in Glendale Heights, IL

Hi, I saw your name on other posts. I placed an order on May 13th from US, I'm in Canada. The seller sent the item the same day and it was received in Glendale Heights on May 15th. It "arrived at hub" on May 20th and no update since. When I take a look at the tracking, it says: "Arrives today" but it was not even inspected and didn't receive any tracking number from a Canadian Carrier. 

Would you be able to help? Thanks!

What is the latest estimated delivery date given when you purchased this item?

That is what you need to be monitoring ...

...NOT the day-to-day movement of your package, seriously it was only picked up by FedEx on Monday, May 13, 2024.

The Estimated delivery date was May 21st-May 28th. "only" picked up by Fedex on May 13th? It's been deliverd 2 days later to the ebay warehouse and it's in limbo for 1 week now.

Like I posted, now the ebay tracking says: "Arrrives Today", but it didn't go through inspection and still no tracking for the canadian carrier. Would be really surprising to get it tomorrow as the last date of the estimate since I'm not near a big city.

I paid US $127.40 for shipping, and we are paying for duties on used stuff... I thought the shipping process for that price would be a lot better and we should see the progress in real time for that price as well... 

I will never buy a listing if it's under eBay International Shipping again... That service is just plain bad.

They seem to have a problem with this Glendale Heights distribution center over the past two months I have lost four iPads which I had purchased supposedly delivered to individual there unfortunately I live in Canada .They claim they are going to look into it but so far don't see any action and it appears that I may have another iPad held up there and unfortunately it takes about another two weeks delivery when shipped through there,very disappointing hopefully they get this resolved soon or a 19 year customer will be deleting his account.

Today is the last day of the Estimated Delivery. When I take a look at ebay's tracking it says: Running behind, original estimate was Tue, May 21 - Tue, May 28. The last update is still: 

Mon, May 20

Item arrived at hub

I have to wait until tomorrow to open a "I didn't receive it" case.

It's the worst international shipping experience I had in years and the most expensive one. I'm done with ebay. Hope to get a refund and will buy the item from somewhere. It sucks since it was an item for work and will still need to wait a while before getting it...

I agree. The prices of shipping are way up and the service is the worst its ever been.  I am also waiting on an item that was shipped on the 13th and it sat in Glendale Heights for 5-7 days. Now at the Hub for the last 3-4 days and it hasn't budge yet. 

Imagine if it was a part and you are waiting on that to fix something.  Me too I will stay clear of sellers that use that program. There is no way we should have to wait that long for an item to arrive. That's totally ridiculous.

I have never had issues with normal shipping , its just when its ebay international shipping and it goes through glendale heights , whats intesresting is its only been the last few months ..... to have 1 package go missing ....it happens, but 5 packages missing  in 1 month is like winning the lottery.

You are exactly right it only started a few months ago, but it seems to be getting worst. I order packges now almost knowing they will be lost if they go through glendale heights. How can a package go into a bulding and get lost and never come out??????????????????????????????

Also i forgot to mention , it also gets confusing because it says " Delivered to individual" but then tracking says its been finally delivered to me which it hasn't , im in another country . I wish they would not show out for delivery when its still in another country ....show out for delivery when its in destination country and actually out for delivery!!!!

I recieve packages faster from aliexpress in china then i do from florida to ontario...its insane , it takes close to a month to receive the package through ebay internagtional shipping . What's interesting though it gets to glendale heights in a week or so , then it sits their forever , i think i may be done with any sellers who use this service or ask them to not use it when ordering items .

They really lost the package and I got a refund. Looks like something is really happening at that hub. Will never do business with ebay ever again... Weird that it's always laptops, ipads, luxury watches that get lost as per all the reports on this board and reddit.

Looking at some of the other posts you made on this subject today, the issue with your laptop may have been its selling price. eIS has a US$2500 limit on the selling price of items it handles. A US$3000 laptop would blow that limit apart, as would a luxury watch or iPad that sold for that amount.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to give up on eBay and stick it to all those eBay sellers who don't use eBay's International Shipping system?

it was 2000$ USD plus shipping and taxes so was about 3k CAD. I will give up on ebay because the shipping prices are too high, would prefer to stick to amazon. Got too many bad experiences with ebay over the years.

Interesting.  I'm just about ready to give up on Amazon because at least half my orders over the past couple of years have been misfilled, delayed, or disappeared entirely.

eBay's International Shipping scheme was rolled out just before Putin invaded the Ukraine and oil prices went stupid.  I have a feeling that far more reasonable shipping prices were originally envisioned before transportation prices skyrocketed.  Amazon keeps on keeping on with its free or artificially low shipping rates.  It's a money-loser for them, but nobody's been able to figure out if they actually intend to lose money on shipping or if it's just not working out for them.
