I AM CREATING THIS POST AND STARTING THIS DISCUSSION IN HOPES THAT EBAY/PAYPAL WILL CREATE A NEW FEATURE FOR SELLERS TO BE ABLE TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS FROM BUYERS ONCE DELIVERY HAS BEEN MADE AND OR POSITIVE FEEDBACK HAS BEEN LEFT AND BUYERS TO BE ABLE TO RELEASE FUNDS UPON SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY, INSPECTION AND OR THEY ARE SATISFIED WITH THE ITEM ONCE RECEIVED.
THE CURRENT SYSTEM OF ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATES AND 21 DAY WAITING PERIODS FOR NEW OR PART-TIME SELLERS (ESPECIALLY FOR CANADIANS) IS UNBALANCED AND UNFAIR. SOME PACKAGES ARRIVE LONG BEFORE ESTIMATED DATE OF DELIVERY. POSITIVE FEEDBACK IS LEFT AND FUNDS STILL DONT CLEAR IN MANY OCCASIONS FOR MORE THAN 10 DAYS AFTER.
THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS/POLICIES FOR COMPLAINTS AGAINST NON-PAYING BIDDERS AND BAD SELLERS BUT NO OPTIONS FOR GOOD SELLERS AND BUYERS. FUNDS CAN BE HELD AND RETURNED WHEN TRANSACTIONS GO BAD, BUT FUNDS CANNOT BE RELEASED WHEN TRANSACTIONS GO GOOD UNTIL EBAY OR PAYPAL ALLOW THEM TO BE.
EBAY GETS THEIR FEES, PAYPAL GETS THEIR FEES AND BUYERS GET THEIR ITEMS WHILE THE SELLER IS LEFT WAITING FOR THEIR FUNDS UNTIL EBAY/PAYPAL SEES FIT BY USE OF AN ESTIMATED DATE. CANADAPOST DOES NOT RECEIVE THE SAME RULES AS UPS (ARE THEY FORCING OR TRYING TO CONVINCE US TO CHOOSE UPS?) EVEN THOUGH THEIR COMPANIES ARE JUST AS REPUTABLE FOR CANADIANS . I AM HOPING THAT BY CREATING THIS POST I CAN BRING ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER AND CONVINCE EBAY THAT THEY SHOULD ADD THIS FEATURE OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THE EBAY COMMUNITY (IT MAKES SENSE).
PLEASE IF YOU AGREE OR EVEN DISAGREE WITH MY POST PROVIDE A RESPONSE OR SOME OF YOUR OWN IDEAS AND COMMENTS.
THANX FOR YOUR TIME

i agree and if your going to set up a worldwide business in canada then the company you have holding our funds should be canadian as well our fraud ect laws are different then the american.

yes but once they receive it and are happy why do they hold it after that hmmm 21 days sounds like a definete set of time for a reason and yes 10 to 14 days max for a cheque why 21 days?? such an odd number.

I am a massive stroke survivor and Ebay will not release my sales money. I rely on my sales to help put food on our table! I have been advised to go public. Ebay will get even more bad publicity... All my account have been verified repeatedly and still they keep my money. Why?

ZOMBIE THREAD FROM 2013
The problem with zombie threads is that the information is often out of date and misleading.
In this case, eBay no longer owns Paypal (since 2015) and no longer uses Paypal as a payment processor.
I found when I was trying to get approved on my several accounts by Managed Payments that there were several glitches.
My birthday did not match the one eBay had on file. Corrected date and MP was approved.
Micro-deposits did not work. Used driver's license as ID and MP was approved. (Apparently there is a problem with currency exchange and micro-deposits).
EBay chose my bank for me and used the wrong transit number for the bank account. Took a sharp eyed teller to spot that one. Once corrected, all the Held funds were transferred.
MP account that had been working smoothly suddenly was not approved. Changed banks and all Held funds were transferred. (This was not the account I wanted to use.)
I found using Chat rather than the phone reps was helpful. Others have suggested Facebook or Twitter. None of these are run by the sub-contractors on the phone.
And don't bother with sob stories. Almost every seller is working with challenges. We tend to be skeptical.
