Seller not responding to questions about an item

My wife is trying to buy an expensive pair of shoes from a seller based in the US. The seller is not answering any messages (She has sent 3 in 35 days) so not exactly bombarding. 

Is there a reason a seller would do this?

She's frustrated as she wants these shoes and is prepared to buy them, but the seller is simply ignoring messages to confirm sizing before she does.

It's possible the seller is away for a few days and not checking their mail. In checking the listing it appears it is set up NOT to ship to Canada. Another reason they may not be responding. Some US sellers find shipping to Canada not worth their time for some unknown reason. Sad but true.

Possible, but it’s been over 30 days since first contact. Be that as it may, answer the question I would think. We have a US mailing address and has never been an issue

The Seller does not ship to outside the United States. And may be seeing the questions as coming from a non-USA buyer.

Gucci 40 EU seems to translate to size range 9-10 USA/Canada

Yes that I was able to search for. But she’s got “athletic calves” from
Dancing many years. We wanted to ensure they’d fit, that’s the only measurement I need
