Good morning, all!

Jannie, although I have no way of knowing what transpired before I rec'd my pkg, I have no reason to suspect my cream may  have been frozen enroute!  It was a perfect-looking and eye-opening vibrant colour when I opened the jar!

Speaking of which, I did receive a monthly cosmetic box in the mail recently, and there were two full-size skin creams that were indeed frozen solid as a rock in my mailbox.  I phoned the company to confirm the viability of the creams ( both of which contained sunscreen), and because they were unable to give me an answer immediately, they sent me vouchers for two new replacement products at a store of my choice.  So I still didn't get any official confirmation from them that once frozen, they're garbage.

Re: JUST IN TYME CAFE, for friendly banter

Sherry, I ordered the same cream for my husband and was taken aback when I opened the jar, it was a pleasant surprise from the dull colors we usually find with creams.

Jannie, when your muscle cream is available please let me know.

Marian, it's sunny here for the moment but snow is coming later on tonight.  With the mild weather we had recently we lost most of what we had.

Jannie are you still making chocolate for the store? Or did you close up in favour of the lotions?

Marian..only occasionally???  Oh to have east coast delicacies .. every day!

Claire, the cream's an amazing colour, isn't it!  Jannie, is that a result from its copper content?  Kind of reminds me of a remarkable patina!

Have a great week with Q. Marian; I'm sure every moment is special!

We have been having snow since tuesday.Had to cancel my mail run today.Roads are terrible and the mail truck didn't come anyway.

Hope you all have a great weekend.Forecast for -30 to-35 here.So I'll probably find a good book.

Re: JUST IN TYME CAFE, for friendly banter

Sherri & Claire:  yes, the colour is a result of the copper content ... there is no colourant in the cream at all!  Yes, we allow the copper to form a patina prior to its addition.

We've had such great results and comments from people with this cream.  The marketing people are chomping at the bit to get the NPN numbers so that they can launch this properly.

Claire:  we're waiting for the labels to be ready ... still at the graphic artist stage.

Sherri:  I was asking if it froze because ... although it's still viable, it's really thin and not "creamy" if it does freeze.

Marian:  I agree with everyone!  Jealous of your scallop fest!  LOL

Marian:  they sold the building out from under us!  So we had to close the chocolate shop.  *sigh*  The world is a strange place ... but it seems that everything happens for a good reason ... sometimes, I wish I could figure that reason out though!  LOL LOL LOL

We still have lots of snow on the ground and it has been snowing pretty regularly this week.  It's minus (-15) with 84% humidity.

Good Night & Good Morning!

Have a fantabulous day (((((((((((everyone))))))))))))))))))

Oh Jane, sheesh! With on the reasons unknown as they are.

Sherry, having lived on a diet of shellfish, trust me they no longer seem like treats when you eat them everyday. Sad but true.

Re: JUST IN TYME CAFE, for friendly banter

Hiya!

So today it got colder again ... minus (-26) with 78% humidity right now (1:40AM).

Alex got home today ... made a stir fry for dinner ... lots of veggies in this one ... made some challah ... everyone loves that bread ... made another banana bread too (great snack food, when they're not eating all the fruits & veggies!  LOL) ... made yoghurt, kefir & non-dairy kefir ... yep ... had a slow day today overall.

Stir fries are so wonderful and quick ... put rice & quinoia (sp) into the rice cooker with a tiny bit of salt & some butter ... then chop up some onions, celery & garlic ... grate some carrot & ginger ... cut up some veggies & mushrooms ... throw it all in the fry pan with some coconut oil (organic of course) and ten minutes or so, later ... dinner!  LOL

Well, I'm off to have a bit of a read in the tub tonight!

Marian:  it's possible that I'd get tired of lobster and scallops and shrimp ... it would be nice to try it long enough for that to happen!  LOL

Good morning all.  A happy Sunday to all.

It's windy and cold here this morning.

Our January temperatures have been all over the place.

I have just finished some major dental work; 3 extractions to make room for implants.  Boy is my jaw sore.  Most of the pain has subsided at this point.

It's great that you got a week with Quinn to yourself, Marian.  Glad the new home is working out.

Jannie, how long before the cream is finished?

Good morning everyone!

The weather here is a real yo-yo.  We had very mild weather for a week so most of the snow we had melted, now they're calling for arctic  cold all week and today we are getting snow squalls.  Can't wait for spring to arrive!

Have a great day!

Good morning Marian and all 🙂

Wild yo-yo weather here, too.  Wild winds, 90 km, today, and the power's been out.  Of course it came back on as soon as the generator fired up.

Jannie, your stirfry sounds delish.  I make a lot of recipes in my rice cooker ( I have a fuzzy logic  Japanese model) but I've never mixed the rice and quinoa together!  Great idea!

(hmm..that gives me an idea for little angel muffins 😉 )

Susan, good luck on the still-to-come dental work, poor woman!!  i know a guy who knows a guy that can arrange to have some fresh Atlantic scallops diverted from Halifax to Toronto, via eastern P.Q., eastern Ontario, southern Manitoba, and northern Sask.,  of course!  😉 Oh wait, poor Susan, you really didn't want any scallops after all, did you ??!!

Oh dear, Marian, you've really started something ... !

Damn, it's incredibly windy here.  No end of articles flying down the lake.  A couple of fishing huts have made their way by, enroute  to who knows where they will end up, intact or otherwise.

Chairs...metal contraptions, orange cones...I swear I just  saw the Portage and Main street sign just float on by!

Re: JUST IN TYME CAFE, for friendly banter

we had 10 degrees above today....Quinn and I were lazy and spent it doing alone things. Last night we went to an open-mic night at a nearby coffee shop.

Sounds like a fun night 🙂

I'm trying to get enough gumption going to start packing; we're off To Panama in a week, and I haven't started getting ready  at all yet.  DD will be moving in here to look after my her cat, the illustrious Miss Fleur.

Not sure if we will get to travel the Panama Canal, but I hope so.
