Sherry you're so right about FB, you drop a load and run....here people come back time and again.

Packing and moving has begun...I have a lot of art so I pack and transport it myself. Movers come Thursday morning and they're gonna love the frog boxes all packed, tied, stacked and ready.

Making a Bavarian Apple Torte to go with duck l'orange and wild rice for Christmas dinner. Will only be 2 of us, I think.

We will have our Christmas morning; Quinn may come in to have his in the pm. Then Boxing Day will be tearing down the kitchen and moving it cross-town. Gotta love logistical planning....got it down to a science I think.

Plan B? Well I have that too! LOL.

Ted is leaving tomorrow ... so baking is on the agenda today ... send him home with a sweet potatoe pie / banana bread / challah braid / shortbread cookies / granola bars / boeterkoek and a few other goodies that he can enjoy both on the trip back and when he gets there.

Josh has gone back to his Mom's for a few days ... he'll be back in time to go back to school and that's about it.

Alex & Paul are home, but they are already waiting for calls to find out when they have to go in. They are both expecting calls tomorrow. So already we're packing lunches and making certain that is in readiness.

Making yoghurt & keefer today (well, that's almost every day for keefer and once a week regularly for yoghurt) plus the non-dairy pro-biotic (also known as keefer) which we flavour with ginger (also a twice a week practice). Use stuff up much faster when everyone is home of course. LOL

I make my pound cake with a block of cream cheese (made from the home-made yoghurt) and although I cannot call it health food or anything ... at least it has some nutritional value with the butter/eggs/yoghurt in it. Of course, it's one of the favourites around here anytime, but I actually ice it with marzipan at this time of the year. Will probably bake some today, but I'll bake them in muffin tins so that they can be more easily transported.

Jannie, I hope your plans for moving go well. I can't imagine what you will do with a longer growing season; you already do so much. It will be great to see the family "consolidated" in one location and very convenient for Josh.

Marian, I am hoping this move will be your last for some time to come. May you settle into a new routine quickly.

It's cold and sunny here today. I have tons of work staring me in the face now that the holidays are finished. I have my first Pilates session of the year today. It's going to be a hard session after a break of more than a week. I think I will ask for a stretching session to get back into the groove. It's amazing how quickly your muscles can contract without regular attention.

I am very happy to be back in routine. And a little warmer here, helps the frame of mind. LOL

We have loads of snow and a very beautiful -14 this morning.

My other venue for what I do has placed a large order so will be busy for afew days.But busy makes winter go faster 🙂

Lots of extra laundry too ... I let that go completely during the holidays ... OIY!

Warming up here ... it's minus three (3) here with 69% humidity and a bright sunshiney day!

Off to Winnipeg today for some shopping at the wholesale food place ... dropping Ted off to pick up his car (the computer on his car was not functioning so he ended up staying an extra couple of days ... Yay! LOL)

Then we'll see what the weekend will bring us.
