Several weeks ago a repeat buyer purchased several items, she asked if she could wait and look through my store again, I told her that was fine, she has purchased from me before. She did this about 4 times, making purchases 4-6 days apart.
She finally told me that she was ready for the invoices, I had to send 2 because some items were on .com and some on .ca and you can't combine them. When I sent them, she asked if she could pay the following week and I said that was okay. About 10 days ago she paid for one lot, and then said she would pay for the next lot last Monday, which she did. Unfortunately she clicked on her bank account on Paypal instead of her credit card, so it will now take 8-12 days to clear!
I don't have a problem with her paying late, my concern is that she will have paid for the first items about 3 weeks before I can mail them because I have combined the shipping cost. Will that mean I get defects because she has paid but I won't be shipping for 3 weeks?
Any suggestions for this would be very helpful.

Triber, I think this is going to mean a phone call to eBay. Hopefully, all her messages to you were through eBay messages. I would call soon, before you see anything bad on your dashboard. Call first thing in the a.m. and hope you reach a US CS rep.

Thanks vintagenorth, I took your advice and called eBay, (got through in about 2 mins), and they said they will make a note of the problem and if I get defects, I can call and they have notifications on my account about the problem. They said that defects would be automatic if I don't mail on time, I was concerned that it might be the case.
Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it.

I don't think that would work. The package would be expedited, so if I don't actually mail the package, it won't come up scanned and so delivery won't be shown.

With late shipment defects, they don't consider an item shipped until the label has been scanned.

If it isn't tracked it isn't counted at all unless the buyer replies to the question in feedback.
So if you send out 20 non tracked items and 2 buyers say the item was on time and 1 says that it was not on time, you would have 1 late shipment out of a total of 3 shipments. The other 17 get ignored in that total.
