I am getting an error message "Sorry, we were not able to generate the label. Please make sure the parcel size is within allowed limits, and both addresses are correct."
It started on Monday and I still can't place a shipping label order for every shipping services like Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, etc for domestic and international orders.
I have printed hundreds of labels this year with the same service, weight, and package size. I haven't changed my shipping address too.
I had to purchase the labels directly from Canada Post for the past four days, which is more than double the cost.
Does anyone have this issue or know how to fix this error? I have tried entering HS tariff codes and setting the item weight the same as my package weight too. Also, I have tried countless times to generate a label on the ebay.ca website, resetting my browser's cache, and the iPad app.

Try using Bulk labels, from the page in your screen shot above, its in the upper right hand corner "Switch to bulk labels" or soemthing liek that
That might work? worth a try, good luck.

It might be also the buyer's address problem - check if it contains unusual letters, or is written corrrectly.
Sometimes also logging out and in might help.
I am not really sure you send items to two different buyers, or try to combine 2 shipments into one?

You've entered a weight of 34g at the top, but the two items in the customs section are set at 15g (for a total of 30g). These numbers need to match - it's an annoying glitch with eBay Labels in Canada. They shouldn't match because the "package weight" is different than the weight of the individual items, but whatever.
I don't know if this is the issue, but if you change the weight of the individual items to 17g each does it fix it?

They don't need to match, mine never do.
There is a package weight number under the custom info that does match with the customs weight.

If you are selling out of the country you have to fill in the HS code section. Canada Post has a good HS code look up tool. There are several online ones if you do a search.
I hope this helps.

For past shipments that "package weight number" under the customs field has always needed to match the package weight at the top of the screen or it gave me an error. Maybe they've fixed it - I haven't had a US shipment in a while.
As @tuckhouse2021 mentioned an HS Tariff code should also be entered, but I'm not sure if that's what's throwing the error in this case as it seems to be a measurement issue.
The only other thing I can think of is that it thinks 34g is too light for the service. According to Canada Post's Parcel Services Customer Guide the minimum weight for a Tracked Packet shipment is 50g. This wouldn't apply if you bought the postage at the post office, but I could see it being coded into their API.
@calistacards if you change the weight to 50g does it fix the problem? This wouldn't change the cost of the label as it's the same price up to 100g.

Canada Post international shipping label purchase function is currently down - again - as it was about a week ago. You can buy domestic labels but not US or International as at 5:51 pm EST September 13, 2024.
