Beyond exhausting......ANOTHER glitch......can't mark items as shipped

i just marked an item as shipped but it won't register on Ebay anywhere.  Seller Hub still shows me with one item to ship and when i go the Manage Orders page it shows that the item still needs to be shipped,  no matter how many times i mark it as shipped.

 

It will never stop, gang.

What are you using the App or the Website? What browser are you using there are many glitches with the older ones..

 

It works just fine for me on Chrome and the App

using desktop with Microsoft Edge.

 

Interestingly, it does show shipped on ebay.com in Manage Orders section but not on the .com Seller Hub (still shows i have one to ship).  On ebay.ca it doesn't indicate shipped anywhere.

btw, when was the last time you tried to mark an item as shipped?  It was working fine for me late last night but not this morning.

Yes this happens to me from time to time, happening over months.

Often if you go into the item itself it shows it as shipped, it is just "my ebay" that isn't recognizing it.

 

Often it will happen when the buyer has purchased multiple items, one of them doesn't get marked/noticed despite the fact it says they're all shipped.

 

To fix it, generally the easiest way is to go into the item(s) directly and individually and mark them as "unshipped".

Then go back in again and mark them as "shipped".

 

Normally this fixes it.

I've seen a bunch of that lately between com and ca. Com is showing 1 number for feedback. Ca a different amount. Messages to answer or not answer. Watchers show up for some sellers at less than 5 but won't show on any of my listings when they are at 5. Even listing counts can vary on ca in different places.  Sadly their are numerous inconsistencies with ebay over the last while. Starting to get used to it/expect it.

Constant glitches. In addition to those mentioned by others, I scheduled a listing for 9 pm and when it was listed it showed up as 10 pm. Editing the listing wouldn't let me choose 9. To get it (by trial and error) I had to select 8 on the drop-down menu. What a waste of time.

wow this is a funky gltich.  As i said, nowhere is it showing 'shipped' on ebay.ca.  On ebay.com it shows shipped in Manage Orders but in Seller Hub main page it shows i have one item to ship.  BUT when i click on the 'Awaiting Shipment' link in Seller Hub where it shows one to ship and try to mark my item shipped, it won't, even though in Manage Orders it  already says it has been shipped.  Fun stuff.

 

When i clicked on the listing itself, as you suggested, it says 'print another label'.  ANOTHER label, so that clued me in that it has been marked shipped.  And when i look at the order details page for that item it shows it has been shipped.

 

So it's more of an information display glitch by Ebay than not actually being able to mark the item as shipped.

I know that's happened to me once or twice in the past. I can't member for sure what I did, but I think I marked it unshipped and then added the tracking number again which triggered it to mark as shipped. I use Canada Post directly though. I don't know what might happen if you do it using eBay labels.

I've been having a similar issue for the past few weeks and can not figure out how to fix it.

 

Someone made an order for 10 of my listings (trading cards), they paid for them all at once so it's a single order. I shipped it out and selected "Add Tracking Number" to the order to mark it as shipped/upload tracking. Each individual listing had the tracking associated with it. Everything seemed good - package was actually delivered in one business day (status on eBay DOES say "Delivered") and even received positive feedback.

 

Then like a day after I uploaded the tracking the order popped back up under "Orders Awaiting Shipment" in Seller Hub. It even says "Delivered Feb 28" but still shows under "Orders Awaiting Shipment". I can't get this order out of my "Orders Awaiting Shipment" page. I click "Mark as Shipped" but it does nothing but reload the page. When looking at the order on the "Orders Awaiting Shipment" page it says that like half of the individual items in the order do not have tracking associated with them, but then when I click "Add Tracking Number" for that individual listing it just brings up a pop-up window showing the item, with the correct tracking number, and a message saying "The tracking number can not be changed once the item is delivered". If I click on the order number on the "Orders Awaiting Shipment" page, it shows me that every item has the correct tracking number associated with it, and they have all been delivered.

 

I can't find any option to mark the order (or any individual items IN the order) as "Unshipped", presumably because eBay can see that their status is already "Delivered".

 

I'm at a loss of what to do. I even contacted eBay for Business on Facebook over a week ago and they were looking into it but I haven't heard back from them.

 

To top it off, I have no idea if this transaction is negatively affecting me; in seller hub the order does show up under "Awaiting Shipment - Overdue", but if I look under "Performance" I do not have any defects for late shipping.

aramatic: your problem might be the result of the fact we are moving the clocks forward tonight.  It's Spring Forward time.

so i now have an item that is listed as 'shipping overdue' on Seller Hub, even though it is marked as shipped in 'Manage Orders' and shows shipped in the 'Order Details' page.  Will there be any consequences?  I have more items to mark shipped today, which may well experience this same problem.

 

Ebay is beginning to take up way too much time and effort, for the small amount of income it generates.  Really beginning to wonder if it's worth it.  I've been using Amazon for 20 years and i don't recall there ever being a glitch on that site.  There probably have been but not in recent memory.  With Ebay, it's a weekly thing...

Thank you for that @ricarmic. I know there are also reports that I have seen on the US Community site about this. I have been reporting this over to the correct team and if there is a sitewide ticket that is open I will be sure to share that here. It will allow any sellers that are running into this issue to reach out to support and have their account added as an example.

For anyone having this problem, i've found a workaround.  It's the only solution i've found that works and has been suggested above by other members.

 

Mark the item as not shipped in Manage Orders.  Then, click on the link of the items' listing that you sold, so you are viewing the sold item's listing page and in the top left will be an option to 'mark shipped'.  Clicking on that will make it show up as shipped everywhere, including Seller Hub.   Nothing else i tried works, but at least this does.

 

So now i don't have an overdue for shipping item glaring at me in Seller Hub.  But now it looks like it was shipped 5 days late.  Don't know what the fallout from that will be..
