Just a question for those who may ship alot with untracked mailed such as letter or bubble mailer with stamps.
I noticed the payments are on hold only until the buyer "marks" the delivery as delivered or there are 21 days hold on the payments.
My question is what if some buyers are not always quick to mark it as delivered after receiving the package or even if they forget it to do so? Is it better to just wait out the 21 days for payout.
Not sure if i should follow up with buyers.
Just looking for some tips and tricks for this.
TIA

Although I'd be in same situation if I were selling on eBay right now(which I am not because I am waiting out the MP mess that still plagues Canadian sellers), it's been 6 months since I last listed on eBay, so I know I will be faced with the hold on payments as many of my items get shipped via untracked methods. The lapse in time since selling on eBay combined with my casual existence as a seller would subject me to all same restrictions/limitations as that of a new &/or casual sellers. Faced with that situation, I believe I'd be inclined to just wait out the time rather than rely on a buyer's response and/or risking a buyer either not responding at all &/or not providing an honest response.

New , occasional and questionable sellers have their customer payments held for up to 21 days.
So one of the first two may apply to you.
I rarely track, and it is quite possible to get Global Top Rated Seller status without tracking, and my Managed Payments seem to be going through on Tuesdays without problems*.
Do mark your Orders as Shipped as soon as possible, tracking or no. And leave feedback, although that is basically just stroking for the buyer, it may encourage them to leave reciprocal feedback.
I use FB to give the date of shipping, which is helpful to me and again stroking the customer.
*Finally! There were several problems at first.

I'm not aware of any way for a buyer to mark a non tracked item as delivered.
When they leave feedback they can indicate if the item arrived by the expected delivery date but that only indicates if it was on time...not when it actually arrived.
