I sell print on demand products currently. I want to sell other items too like thrifted items too but would rather sell those on a separate account instead of mixed up with POD products. I have heard horror stories of eBay banning all accounts associated with a person when they tried to open a second account. I have also read that it's perfectly fine to have two. I attempted once to create a second account and it was immediately removed with no reason given. What is the real truth about this?
Attached is the eBay policy on multiple accounts. See TOS for more information. It is allowed when you follow the posted rules and not bypass any exceptions. I've had multiple accounts in the past so unsure how things have changed(updated/enforced) since.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that you can have up to 5. I don't know if that number is the same for business and personal accounts though. You have to have a separate email for each account (you could alias them to one inbox to simplify things though), and your listing limits don't carry over. Also, you only get notifications on the app for the account you're currently signed into, at least for sales. I have 3 accounts due to different types of items and shipping strategies.

You're registered in Canada but your items ship out of North Carolina?

I have seven accounts although only four are currently active.
You need to have a Managed Payments account for selling, and an eBay pink (probably devon@ebay ) told me those can share a single checking account.
Set up Managed Payments before you start listing.
Any new account will be back with the usual Hold for new and occasional sellers.
And if you have an active buying account, it is worthwhile turning that into a selling account because of the accumulated feedback.
Then start a new buying account, because FB is much less important for buyers.

There is no problem with multiple accounts, there is no limit on the number of accounts, the only real requirement is that each account needs a different email address.
I've had at least two and sometimes three active selling accounts for over 15 years, another pair of accounts for buying/browsing.
These days each account gets 250 free listings per month, need 1000? open 4 accounts!
Each account will have to go through standard initial low selling limits and payment holds. 90 days and 25 sales and the payment holds mostly go away and selling limits can start to be increased.
What you cannot do is use the other accounts if any one of them is permanently suspened.

My guess is that the POD service the OP is using is based and ships from NC.

Okay that's a different kettle of monkeys.
Don't phone.
The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
It may be best to contact them on Monday, when the full staff is around rather than over the weekend.
