Delaying shipment after ship by date due to strike, what to do? I have three items from Canadian buyers that I have to ship by Dec 10/24. I contacted all the buyers and they are happy to wait until the strike is over. Now I don't think that the strike will be over any time soon. I am concerned about the ship by date of Dec 10/24 and how that will affect my status, late shipment rate. Now I could email my buyers and tell them that I have to mark the item shipped when in fact it hasn't. What would you do?

What I've decided to do since I missed the ship by date is to hold the package until the strike is over. I will then ship it out Xpresspost to the buyer (it's an expensive item so I don't mind the extra cost) and not update the tracking info on eBay but send him a message with tracking info. I will also include a little bonus for him for waiting so patiently.
I will then remind the buyer if he leaves feedback to mark the item as arrived on time.
