Ebay holding/processing our Funds for 3 days to Earn Interest Of Our Payments

Its not like we dont pay enuff Fees to sell on this Platform & now they have a whole new revenue stream in the Interest they earn Off our Sales Payments...I am on a daily payment schedule but still takes  6 Days from Buyer Payment to actually have funds deposited in my Bank Acct...Mayhap its time to generate our own interest in a Class Action Lawsuit to recoup some of the Billions of dollars in interest Ebay has earned off our blood, sweat & tears...

oh here we go again with the "anyone wanna start a Class Action Lawsuit"?

Supposedly, class actions allow groups of individuals who have been wronged by a company or organization to band together and pursue justice in a single, consolidated case. However, in practice, class actions often fail to deliver on their promise of efficiency and fairness."

You ain't gonna get nothin' buddy...but some eager beaver lawyer "might" get a few bucks off ya'

In all the years I have been an eBay member, the countless threats of lawsuits have been a laugh..

No one has ever returned to the forums with any kind of "success story"

So keep dreaming...

Keep in mind, it is YOUR choice to be a seller on eBay...NO ONE is twisting your arm to remain here...

C'est la vie!

How long does it take to get to your bank AFTER you recieve your Payout Notice?

Most of my sales are processed within 24 hours, some a few hours faster, the odd one a few hours later. Once processed they are available for Payout, on the day of payout my notice arrives around 7:00am and is in my bank account by 5:00pm on the same day.

I'm on weekly payouts (Tuesday) any sales up until Monday afternoon are included and in my bank the same day.

I'm on daily payment schedule also and most times for me it takes 2 days. "Daily payments" doesn't necessarily mean you will get paid every day, but it means they will start the "process" immediately/that day.

The long weekend just passed and that is the only time I've seen a longer delay in funds being processed (stuff I sold on Sunday is paid out today) and I always assumed it was the time off and that daily means business days.

Once they show as "completed"/green dot, they are usually available within 24 hours. I get my payout email usually around 8 am and it is in my bank later the same day (I'm with CIBC, some banks may take longer).

I use eBay labels and while they sometimes take a few days (or longer!) to go through in cases like this long weekend I have them coming out of today's payout, which I like.

My accounts are on weekly payments, and they are all processed on Tuesdays which is the default.

That means if I am paid by the customer on Monday the transfer is Tuesday,

but if the customer pays on Wednesday, I am paid the next Tuesday.

I have noticed that while all my transfers are on Tuesdays, they may take place hours apart on different accounts.

I have a different bank for each account, but I've never looked at which banks put the transferred funds into my accounts fastest.

How you get paid

As an eBay seller, you'll receive your payouts in your linked chequing account.

Once the buyer's order is confirmed, you can ship the item. The selling fees and other costs are automatically deducted, and your sales proceeds will show as Processing funds.

It typically takes 1 day from confirming the buyer’s payment for the sales proceeds to appear as Available for payout, unless the transaction was placed on hold, in which case it may take longer. To check if any of your payouts are on hold, select the button below:

Check payout holds

It typically takes 2 days from confirming the buyer’s payment to initiate your payout if your payouts are scheduled daily. If your payouts are scheduled weekly, we initiate payouts on Tuesday for the sales you've made from Monday to Sunday the previous week. If your payouts are scheduled biweekly, we'll initiate payouts every second Tuesday. If they're scheduled monthly, we’ll initiate them on the first Tuesday of every month. Your payouts will appear as Funds sent and it typically takes another 1-3 business days for the funds to clear in your chequing account and become available to you.

  • This timeline is similar to the time it can take a credit card company to process your monthly payment, and depends on the processes of your financial institution
  • After the payout is initiated, the funds are no longer with eBay
