This has been going on for months now and I cannot seem to resolve the issue.

Ebay continues to state that the site is down which does not allow me to Sell.

What is the resolution for this as I know a number of folks have had the same issue.

I am using Safari on a Mac.

There must be a different problem as the site hasn’t been down. At what point are you getting an error message and what exactly does the message say?

And are you trying to list on eBay.ca or eBay.com? What listing tool(s) are you using, if any?

Hi @paralog - as others have mentioned, that's definitely not usual.

Can you let us know what other browsers or troubleshooting steps you've tried?

Are you logging in to eBay from a shortcut link/ 'Favorite' bookmark?

A screenshot of the error you're seeing would be really helpful too.

I have the site saved in bookmarks in Safari and it always states the server is down so will not let me sell. Screen shoot is saved below

I think the bookmark may be a contributing factor. Would you try navigating to eBay without using that link?

If safari remembers your saved sessions it may also be worth clearing the cache and cookies too!

@paralog - Hmmmmm....

It's interesting that you get that error, since you're not having issues with posting here. It leads me to believe that there are either issues with the specific browser (Safari) or issues with the saved history associated with the bookmark you normally use.

If you click this link, do you get the same error?

When I clicked on it it took me to myeBay account settings on .COM which is a bit odd

This is not an isolated issue with my browser or mac,it is an Ebay problem.

Do not try to push an EBay site issue back to the customer which seems very common by big business these days.

This is a common issue, if you take a look outside your Ivory Tower of Ebay you will see there are many complaints about this issue and it never seems to get resolved.

The issue of no access to the sell page is appearing in all types of browsers and types of pc's either window or mac.

If you want us to continue to sell on Ebay please fix the issue and don't blame it on the user. Its and issue with your site. The costs to use Ebay and the risk of scammers is making the site less useful than it was many years ago, additional barriers like this will make us go elsewhere.

Did you go to Google and type in ebay.ca?

Did you then click on your My eBay at the top right-> Selling?

Did you get Manage Active Listings?

(You don't have any I guess, but...)

On the far right did you click on Create Listing?

Did you get a dropdown menu-> Single Listing?

Did Single Listing take you to Tell Us What Your Selling?

Please tell us what happened at each step.

Where did you get stopped?

That Create Your Listing is relatively new , and confused me for a few hours when it first turned up, especially since I don't keep my screen full width.

Hi @paralog - I'm sorry to have offended you. I ask basic troubleshooting questions because in my experience many issues can be resolved by going through them. These include:

Trying a different browser
Clearing the browser cache/cookies
In the case of favorited/bookmarked links, trying to access the same locations manually, as site updates or changes can make these links void

If you'll provide the following information that will assist me in assisting you further:

Accessing through mobile device or desktop

Device model/version
ISP
