I'm not saying it is the case here, but the country showing for folks ID doesn't necessarily mean that's where they are now.

I've had folks who's jobs have them in various countries which they're shipping to which are different than the country that shows with their ID.

They could also be using a forwarding service, which is the shipping address, if you google maps their address you can see what it is and what it looks like from the pictures/sattelite view.

They could also be scammers, I'm simply putting forward options that are happeir that might also explain the difference.

If it were me, and I was worried, I'd ask them why their country shows differently than their shipping address before I cancelled anything.

Whenever there is any type of discrepancy with a buyer's address/membership country, etc. I always, always message the buyer and request clarification as I do not ship until I am satisfied that all is correct.

Might be a scam, might not be one.

I  have several out-of-country buyers who use a freight forwarder service in BC for their mailing address.

FYI ABOUT SCAMS-

Start with confirming the address with the customer.

It might be a typo.

It might be a freight forwarder.

It might be a scam.

Of these the freight forwarder * is the safest.

Even safer than shipping domestically because eBay considers your delivery to the forwarder as the end of your responsibility for delivery.

And if there is a Not As Described claim, you only have to provide return shipping from the forwarder's address, not from Hong Kong.

You only ship within Canada, buyer purchases and provides a Canadian address.....where is the scam? The buyer is complying with your requirements by providing a Canadian address....again where is the scam?

what iam worried about id home address not their mailing address but they address they have on their home pages on both are in  hong kong uk address an the other is in chinnesse language both have toronto mailing address  and one has tried again to contact me with new email address as the first one i blocked - i feel so bad as to not help them but iam really worried that both orders are large and and if they go sour then i will in debt even further with ebay than i already am -- where are my normal customers that order one maybe two items with regular address and regular shipping  requirments etc --iam really unset about this but my gut saids spmething is wrong somewhere and ebay chat is no help what so ever - i just wish i wasn't under so much pressure to make sales this month to stay out of debt with ebay --i really do hate this mail strike incident and all that goes with it --everything was going along swimmmingly till that !@#$%^&*strike happened - well maybe the new year will bring change

If you don’t sell to the U.S. you are losing out on a lot of business. I’ve never had a problem other than one fragile item got broken.
