I don't know for sure how/where all this is applied, nor how wide the error is, ie I don't know if it only affects my PO or if it affects them all.
Today was the first day the newly defined "Packet" and "Parcel" rates came into effect.
At least at my post office, as of earlier today, the error was that the "Parcel" rate of 10.75% was being applied to Small Packets both to USA and International instead of the proper "Packet" rate of 8.75%.
Expediteds were correct (as parcels) and Tracked Packets were correct (as packets).
My PM put a ticket in, her CSR's were not much help, even trying to explain to them the error was a challenge!
This happened a few years ago and my recollection they didn't believe my PM and the wrong rate persisted until it was changed the next month end. Hopefully this time is is fixed, it means me(we) are paying an extra 2% on the Small Packets till it is....

Today I had to ship something using Small Pkt which is not something I use that often. I purchased using SnapShip. Not a large amount per pkg., but could mount up if sending out multiple pkgs each day. Especially if this error is company wide and not corrected this month.

Thanks for posting @ricarmic
There was an issue at the beginning of the year where the fuel surcharge for US/Intl Small Pkt Air was not being billed to buyers but it was applied when you created the label. That took 8 weeks to fix. Hopefully this time it gets resolved quicker? Going through the eBay archive these rate increase discrepancies have happened numerous times.

Just to be clear the problem is a Canada Post problem.
Theoretically ebay, snapship etc should be applying it correctly at the lower rate, but I don't know that as I'm a stamps on the box kinda guy....

If that's the case it should be resolved very quickly. Just a matter of the update catching up to the systems. In other words...."Tape delay".

No response to PMs ticket yet.
Rates are still incorrect.
Will update as there is news.

Nothing currently showing Sept 8, 2021 12:27 PM on the CP status page. In the past I have seen these sorts of "known" issues displayed there but are usually resolved expediently and updated accordingly.

Last time this happened nobody believed us, and they did not fix it. Apparently few folks are aware of the exact % that is supposed to be charged..... the CSR didn't even know when the PM called!

The part that I take issue is when these situations crop up and there are costs or major time involved there is NEVER any compensation from the guilty parties and barely if ever an apology. One should be followed by the other. End of story.

I didn't realize before that there was a difference in the percentages between the types of services. I learned something new!

In checking just now there are currently 3 situations(disruptions.)
Includes: Print a Label Desktop Domestic/International + Xpresspost Print a Label Domestic - Web Browser.

From past experience these disruptions carry over to Shippo etc but now always.

This is still happening today.
My PM is off but she had no update to her ticket on Friday.
There is an extra change starting today on top of this, I've created a separate thread for it, updates to this will be under that thread going forward.
