Hmm I may have been here "forever" but I still find stuff I can't figure out how to do!! (Although really I'm still a .CA virgin...only been selling on .CA for a few months).

Anyway, whilst on vacation, I normally turn off the UID automatic process for unpaid items*.

On .COM it has become more difficult, one has to go to the actual item itself to have the option to turn it off, it isn't available in myebay anymore.

On .CA darned if I can figure out where to find it. Then I realize I don't even know if the automagic UID process works on .CA?

So on the assumption the automagic process does work on .CA, how does one turn it off??

*to my mind if someone hasn't paid it isn't fair for me to initiate the UID process when I can't fulfill the order if they do pay, so I eat the FVF. Still block them though if they don't eventually pay.

I found it, the link is below. But your items are hidden and no one can purchase so why are you concerned about the unpaid item process?

I think that link should turn it off or on both sites.

THX for the link, however this turns it off completely.

I use the turn off in this case because the buyer purchased it before I closed the store, and they haven't paid yet*. I only turn the automagic UID process off for those who would be getting the UID whilst I am physically not here during my vacation time, ie I don't want to turn it off for everyone. Folks who would be getting it while I am here, I do not turn it off for.

On .COM I can turn it off item by item.

On .CA I can't see where I can turn it off item by item (so far).

Sorry if I was confusing about what I was looking for!

*new record 7 unpaid items at store close time, normally I only have 1 or two.....
