I want to see the item that sold, not something completely different.

Instead of going directly to Paypal to check a sewing pattern I sold last night, I clicked on the listing in my eBay email.

So the pattern I sold was Vogue, a sundress, in four sizes, and uncut.

The "similar" pattern was Simplicity, a business/day dress, in three sizes.

Time for this failed experiment to end.

There is no reason to take a customer to something completely different, when what they want to see is what they bought (or sold). There are other vaguely similar items on a scroll, after all, and a Search bar on almost every page.

Sheesh.

I agree with you completely.  This is very annoying & frustrating.  I have been griping about this for months now.  I am not interested in eBay's suggestions of alternatives. Usually they are completely different from the original item.

Similar to the New Listing email we now get. With the portion of the email, tagline: xxx... is live! 🛎️Check your special offers and make more money! This information is not what the seller wants to see. It's the actual title of the listing that was recently created. If I need to see my current listing offers much quicker to just go Sellers Hub and confirm. Actually preferred in the past when you got a count-down of remaining available listings. Must more helpful!!!

It’s a terrible change, one that defies logic. Smells of Whiz Kid.

I know. Mine tell me to look for selling tips that don’t exist but don’t tell me which listing it is that’s live after relisting which is the whole purpose of that particular email.

Whiz Kid stink. This is not a change that could possibly have been mandated by someone who’s used eBay to sell more than once and that one time merely so they could claim they ‘sold thing(s) on eBay’.

If I was the CEO of eBay....

One thing I'd require of all employees is that they would have to sell x number of items per year on ebay.  Kinda like a pilot having to maintain a minimum number of hours flight time to keep his licence.

That makes perfect sense. For my job, I need to work, I think, a min of 200 hours a years to maintain my license. I work full time + overtime so I clock about 2000 hours a year.
