I'm sorry for what happened, but brace yourself for judging comments from "regulars". I don't know why they do it, but they seem to enjoy themselves for thowing salt on other people's wounds.

It's all about how much mpney you can make out of the case. If you think you can make your extra time and money worth for doing it. Why not?

If "someone" stole money from you don't you want to sue the "somebody"? How does eBay fit into the picture?

Re: I want to sue eBay

Have you reported the theft to your local police and asked that they forward the report to the scammer's local police?

It helps if you can give your cops the address (including - don't laugh- fax address) of the other force.

If you shipped by Canada Post, you can also enlist the postal inspection service.

And then there are these guys: https://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/report-signalez-eng.htm

who work internationally including with their US counterparts.

no, many of us are older, wiser & know the reality of such a lame exercise in futility...but perhaps YOU would like to waste YOUR time & YOUR money and then come back and tell us how sucessful you were in your efforts. ...

BTW you have responded to a thread that is 2 years old and on a topic that is DEAD....and best to make yourself aware of the eBay user agreement where it states we agree to not sue eBay when we agree to use this site.(Please read the terms of use).

Join the club. However, logic dictates that a mutibillion dollar company can afford to drag it out in court and bear all the necessary expenses. Can any of us?
