I agree -- the Brits always seem to be so much clearer in their language than we are (in North America). I've never really liked the word "shipping" in the eBay usage.
This DSR wording is much better, although I doubt the word "dispatch" would be understood in the same precise context by Americans or even Canadians as it is by the British, who immediately get the meaning of "sending something off by mail". We tend to think of "dispatch" mainly in terms of taxis, police cars and ambulances.
The DSR for "shipping charges" would be far better shown the way the UK site does it, and would still make perfect sense to many North Americans, except that "Postage charges" might not work for sellers use services other than the post office to send out goods (UPS, etc.).
All in all, it sounds like we're stuck with what we've got... 😞
