Need help with wording of combined shipping on my listings.

I am looking at revising my combined shipping info on my listings.   I have it set up now that if they pay for it together by putting it in the cart, ebay will correctly use the combined shipping amounts.  If they don't put it into the cart, and pay for each separately I don't want to offer combined shipping reduction even though they are in the same box or envelope.   I also haven't figured out to tell them that items on .com and .ca need to be paid separately

This is what it currently says, I've changed it a bit now that kawartha-ephemera helped me set up combined shipping:

I do offer combined shipping.   You need to pay for it all at the same time.

For combined shipping when buying two or more items just add all the items to your shopping cart . Combined shipping is already set up.  If you do not do pay for it at the same time, I cannot offer a discount even though they go in the same box or envelope.

PLEASE USE SHOPPING CART WHEN BUYING MULTIPLE ITEMS. It is much easier, faster & cheaper

To add an item to your Shopping cart, simply select Add to cart beneath the Buy It Now button on any fixed-price listing.

To view the items you've previously placed in your cart, select the cart icon at the top of the eBay screen. You can then proceed to checkout, or continue shopping

Canadian Buyers
Standard - $4.25 CDN$ per item, $2.50 CDN$ for each additional item.

US Buyers
Standard - $6.25 CDN$ per item, $1.00 CDN$ for each additional item.

I think 2 things will make this very hard to do the way you intend.

Most people don't read anything in the listing details etc, it is a good day when they read the whole title.

It is too complicated a set of rules to try to cover everything. I got tired of trying to understand it in the current form and quit reading/trying to figure it out.

I suggest keeping it very simple and living with the fact that a number of buyers are still going to never even know it was even there (because they never looked).

Saying something simple like:

Please use the shopping cart to combine items which will allow you to save shipping costs. Note that Canadian$ and US$ purchases have to be combined separately.

(I'm sorry I didn't have enough time to really wordsmith this but you get the idea)
