Just discovered that several of the tracking numbers i have uploaded over the past several days have vanished from my 'Manage All Orders' page. Some are still there, many are gone...where the tracking number used to be it now just prompts me to upload a tracking number.
When i click on 'add tracking' the information i put in before is already there but when i click 'save' the tracking number does not show up. This is effecting both Canadian and US tracking numbers. As i said, some are still there many have vanished.
Not a browser issue as i have tried multiple browsers and see same problem.
This better not effect me in ANY way (late delivery, effecting my seller discount, costing me if someone opens a case because tracking was not uplaoded in time etc)

If you go into an item as a buyer would, does it show up under the view order details tab?
I suspect that it does and this glitch is just around how the manage all orders page is being populated.....

yes it does, whew. thanks for the tip. I guess it's only on the 'manage all orders' page it has vanished.
Ebay glitches are starting to wear me down....each one takes a little piece of my soul. 😉

I hear you the leaving feedback form has been driving me crazy, it will tell me a few times I've already left feedback, or nothing happens, or the options are blank etc. I was really bad a couple weeks ago I had to try about 3 times on each feedback being left, now it is a lot better maybe 1 in 8 tells me I already left feedback.....no blank screens or anything at least.....

Thanks for the heads-up. Sure enough, I also discovered recent MIA tracking numbers.
Bad News: My 2 latest U. S. Air Tracked Packets were not displaying tracking numbers, which I uploaded same day as postal acceptance.
Good News: The expandable Shipping section on the Item Details page does show the progress of both of those shipments, including the date I uploaded tracking numbers.
Not sure what this means, if anything. I suppose I'll find out on the 20th if my monthly evaluation for the U.S. market displays any percentage other than 100% for shipments with tracking.

I had the same problem many months ago.

Same issue just appeared. I always double check the tracking is saved and shown on my orders page. The other day I noticed four trackings in a row missing, they show when clicking add tracking. Tried resaving, one worked says tracking uploaded today on eBay the rest wouldn't let me. I messaged my buyers to make sure they have their tracking numbers.

Seeing similar results on my order page. Postage created with Shippo with tracked service tracking field which automatically ports is now blank. Shipments created with Shippo for Small Packet Air manually entered are also blank. Several of those shipments are showing with confirmed delivery. Start date appears to be May 4 +-.

Same problem here as of this morning. Works on the app, not on the All orders page on laptop.

There is a service ticket opened on this issue. (ticket number is listed in this weeks chat with Tyler). It is something ebay is working to fix. Added my account to the ticket last night. I currently have 5 transactions with purged tracking. 2 show confirmed delivery. Dangerous to re-populate the tracking manually. Bots will "think" shipped date is late even though it isn't. Same thing happens if you update the tracking after the fact because of rented fingers syndrome.

Yes, exactly that happened to me last month after updating an already uploaded tracking number. Doing so wasn't merely redundant; it completely blew away the tracking history.
I'll never rent those fingers again...

Will they be able to reverse the error in their ways (eBay)? Can't say I can recall a situation where they have been able to. It used to be called a go back or undo button.

The same issue happened with me.
I noticed it so far with Chit Chats orders. A few orders randomly don't have tracking. I only noticed when a buyer contacted me to ask for a tracking number.
It just shows the importance of keeping tracking on file somewhere externally.

Here's my latest Seller evaluation vis-a-vis U.S. shipments without tracking:
________________________________________________
If you didn't upload tracking for 95.00% or more of your transactions, you can still meet this requirement based on how many times you didn't upload tracking.
Here's a breakdown of transactions in which tracking wasn't uploaded on time or didn't receive a carrier scan.
Not uploaded at all 1 4.55%
Uploaded late 1 4.54%
Uploaded on time but no carrier scan 0 0.00%
Total 2 9.09%
For this requirement, we look at your transactions during the past 3 months. To be a Top Rated Seller, 95.00% of your transactions must have tracking uploaded within your stated handling time, in addition to receiving a carrier scan.
________________________________________________
FTR, all of my stateside shipments are tracked, and I always upload the tracking number as soon as I return from the P. O.
Is 9.09% defective a big deal? When the rolling threshold is 5%, it could be. Either way, I sure hope they fix this particular glitch soon...

That metric won't affect you. The only time it is used if you are a US TRS. You have global trs so it isn't required.
05-21-2021 02:22 PM
That's reassuring, and like I said, I wasn't panicking or anything.
However, the major reason I switched to required tracking for the U.S. was because untracked shipping seemed to be what had originally dropped me from 'Top Rated' to 'Above Standard' in that region. Since the U.S. has traditionally been my largest market block, I've been working ever since to restore TRS there for increased visibility and buyer confidence.

Hi everyone -
The underlying ticket for tracking number not showing in seller hub was closed as resolved yesterday. I was told this was identified as a cosmetic issue within Seller Hub (meaning the tracking numbers did import successfully and your metrics would not be impacted).
If you are seeing this happen with items you ship today please contact CS so they can review and file a new ticket for investigation. Thanks!

Probably not a big deal for anything sent tracked and has been delivered. If you try to update/correct tracking after the fact the system will think its a late shipment, even though it isn't. My past few applicable shipments where a non tracked service was entered manually are now displaying. Anything with a tracked service is still blank. Just confusing for buyer at other end. The back up work around would be to message your buyers with tracking. Not too bad if it only applies to a few shipments. Could be lotz of work for other sellers.
From a sellers perspective almost impossible to know what does or doesn't directly affect a sellers metrics. The message you get from ebay advising you TSR's were adjusted is good but does not advise specifically which transactions so a seller could clearly understand possible problems and address them effectively.

While I certainly appreciate your efforts on our behalf Tyler, unfortunately nothing appears to have changed regarding the tracking status displayed in Canada Post vs. EBay Seller Hub:
Domestic Canadian shipments continue to get stalled at "Shipped / In Transit" status even weeks after delivery and feedback...especially those Canada Post Flat Rate Boxes, although I did have a couple of domestic Expedited Parcels with similar unresolved hub status last quarter.
BTW, any strategic tips for directing this issue specifically to the programming/technical side of Customer Support?
