I order from the US shipping supplies store, so they charge import fees, and it's in USD (and my coupon is only $50 USD).

I'll make a guess why eBay ended the coupon for Canadian Stores........
Basic Store on .ca - C$24.95 or C$19.95 (US$17.30 / US$13.83)
Basic Store on .com US$27.95 or US$21.95 (CA$40.32 / CA$31.66)
That was my thought, too. US store is much more expensive. It's probably why Ebay did cancel the coupon, because a .ca store is much cheaper, especially with the weak CAD?

Curious though how is your coupon for $63.98? Was it for a greater amount, but you forfeited the difference?
Yes, my coupon is 70 for a Premium Store.

Try to order from here: https://www.ebay.ca/str/ebayshippingsuppliescanada
The bubble mailers are of a very high quality, and you get 100 for 9.50 CAD. A good deal.

What everyone is missing, is that the removal of the coupon is effectively an increase to our store fee.
For a Premium, it is a 61% fee increase.
I personally rely on the small padded airjackets and the logo tissue paper.
Yes I can source bland generic ones elsewhere when my eBay supplies run out, but the point is, we are getting an increase due to the removal of a $$ value perk if our fees are not being reduced by the equivalent amount ($280 CAD a year for a premium coupon).

No one is missing anything & as eBay stated in the message sent to one and all...
"If you wish to cancel or modify your Store subscription, please do so by February 28, 2025."
AKA - If you are not happy the door is waiting for you, for me this is no big issue at all, everything is going up in cost, nothing is forever...

How I am interpreting the annoyance is that from a sellers perspective (when paying on a yearly contract for store fees) you are entitled to the coupon up to the end of that contract. From an eBay perspective and TOS they have an out due to the option to change or modify at any time.
If a seller chooses to end their yearly contract before the end of it there are penalties. For eBay all is fine on the western front.

@lotzofuniquegoodies ebay is not cancelling coupons until the end of the annual contract. I will get one more coupon as my store doesn't renew until June.

According the eBay legal mumbo jumbo...
If your upcoming Store subscription renewal occurs after February 28, 2025, you will not be eligible for future shipping supplies coupons. On September 30th you qualify for 2 more coupons so a reprieve.
Mine ends it May 1 so translating as the 1 I was thinking I should get I won't. (Note: Yearly Subscription.)

@lotzofuniquegoodies Hmm the 2nd paragraph is poorly written, it appears to undo what the first one says:
However, as a current yearly Store subscriber, we will continue to issue the quarterly shipping supplies coupon throughout the term of your existing subscription. For example, if your annual Store subscription ends on September 30, 2025, you will receive the shipping supplies coupon in April and July 2025. |
If your upcoming Store subscription renewal occurs after February 28, 2025, you will not be eligible for future shipping supplies coupons. You can view your current Store subscription renewal date on the “Store” tab within the Seller Hub. |
The way I read it the first paragraph means to me that I get April and not July because mine renews in June.
The 2nd paragraph may be meant for those with month by month subscribers. Another poorly written note....
I guess we'll see what happens at the end of March!

Yea I read it as I would get 1 more in the first paragraph (June also) and then read the second, then I was like great that undoes what paragraph 1 says LOL

There are almost always multiple ways to translate eBay announcements. This is another example. My first thought was, okay I get one for April and then nothing following. Then I reread and checked TOS to confirm and clued in. As a suggestion, any eBay blither blather like this should never be translated when one is either still asleep or hasn't had at least 1 cup of strong .
The 2nd part of the announcement with issues is QR code option for printing labels has been on the screen for several months. (I thought it was active at 1 time. just not a feature I require.) It currently is not. The part about coupons for Canadian sellers is as per upcoming launch. Again there has been a link for several months to CREATE A COUPON but again still not active. According to dot com their options are coupon, discount, sale event, shipping discount, volume pricing. They have been able to create coupons since I believe Mar 2021. 4 years to give options to Canadians?
As a side plus side all the attached links seem to work. They usually don't.

Probably a taxable benefit in the eyes of CRA...getting rid of it creates less work for ebay acoounting department...

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, eBay reversed the decision on the shipping supplies coupon. You can see it on the announcements page.

I get my coupon from the US site. The Canadian site hasn't given me a coupon in a few years (for a while I got both).

I wonder how it's possible? I have a store on .com only - and it's not even accessible from .ca at all. It's maybe your sending from location is in the US? I would contact the CS.
I also ship sometimes from Niagara Falls, NY, but always list a Canadian location (MTL, QC).
Otherwise, I would be not able to use the discounted CP Tracked Packed.

According to this announcement and a letter from eBay Canada to 1 particular user the coupon will be re-instated.
I wonder if they will be increasing the variety of items for Canadians? Ummm too soon?

Dear valued Store subscribers,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to address a recent update regarding your Store subscription benefits.
Recently, we announced plans to phase out the Shipping Supplies coupon from our Store subscription benefits over the course of this year. This decision was made with the intention of reallocating resources for future enhancements to the overall seller experience. However, after listening to your invaluable feedback, we have realized that we did not get this right.
Our team has engaged in meaningful conversations with many of you on the importance this coupon plays in supporting your success on eBay, especially for those in remote areas of Canada. Your success is our top priority, and we are committed to doing what is best for our sellers.
I am pleased to announce that we will continue to offer the Shipping Supplies coupon for our Canadian Store subscribers. There is no action required on your part to qualify for future coupons. As long as you maintain your Store subscription, you can look forward to receiving this benefit in upcoming quarters.
One of the best things about eBay is its active and engaged community of sellers. It’s because of that community that we’re able to understand when we miss the mark and take steps quickly to make it right. So, thank you for sharing your thoughts, for engaging, and for helping us make your experience on eBay as rewarding as possible.
Stay tuned for an upcoming communication showing our appreciation for your contributions to these conversations.
Sincerely,
Garry Thaniel
GM of eBay Canada
