Re: Dead Sales, no views etc Canada

Hi is anyone else having zero sales, zero views etc? I pay a fee for a store subscription and have over 800 listings! I can’t believe I’ve had nothing in days. Help! Anyone!

Re: Dead Sales, no views etc Canada

I search my items and sometimes they show and sometimes not.

It's been my observation (and anecdote is not data) that if you do the same Search several times, the algorithm decides that you were not interested in the stuff you already saw, and shows you a different batch from the millions currently listed.

It also seems that our listings rotate among markets, which would explain why I once got two orders from Lichtenstein in one week, and never before or since.

This is not a Bad Thing. It means that you are getting some share of every market instead of being stuck at the bottom of the list of choices permanently.

I promoted everything at eBay’s percentage,

I chose to use one percent, because (again anecdote not data) PL seem to bring Views but not necessarily sales of PL items. What does seem to happen is that the Viewers then do some browsing in my Stores and buy there.

I see no reason to pay any more.

EBay is our landlord, not our friend.

I pay premium store monthly rates,

To be fair, the Stores are more an organizational tool than a selling tool.
The Good Thing about them is lower listing rates and lower FVF, not promotion (except maybe for promoting browsing, as above.)

With the large number of Free Listing promotions recently, perhaps tied to MP, I dropped one of my Stores from Premium to Basic.

In addition, I list on both dotCA and dotCOM, doubling the number of "free" listings I have available, including Promotions, at no additional charge.

And the US is still the largest single economy in the world.

I’m a top seller with 100% feedback and 18 years with eBay.

Me too, on three of my active selling accounts, but while TRS has advantages, like cheap branded shipping supplies and possibly a teensy boost in Search, we are among millions of other long-term, high feedback sellers.

Many sellers with similar problems, and we all hit deserts from time to time, spread out their selling to other online sites. Are you already doing that? What you lose on the coconuts, you may make back on the roundabouts.

Re: Dead Sales, no views etc Canada

I have been having zero sales, zero views. I have not been able to figure it out.
You still have four negs pulling your FB rating down to 92%. Negs take 12 months to time out.
I have sold 17,000 items in 8 years. $1,000,070. Over a million dollars.... When the end of the month came I was not able to pay my eBay fees. I had to abandon that account.
So you didn't have any money in the bank for a rainy day?
I had to open a new account. I never paid my last $1400 bill for my original account.
EBay has ignored your debt? Do you think they don't know you have a new account?
This would automatically put you lower in Search.
And while eBay doesn't use FB to assess accounts, it can be an indication of other tracked problems that were dealt with.
in 2016, in December, I sold VCRs almost every day of the month.
There's this thing called a DVD but it seems to have been made obsolete by Blu-Ray which is now out of favour because people are streaming. Times change.

Re: Dead Sales, no views etc Canada

Sooo after this last few years did you survive?? I discontinued my store it was so DEAD!! And I haven’t sold anything on the Bay in months and won’t waste my time going to auction style and lose my shirt! Unfortunately EBay is the driving force it once was and it’s still dying a slow death and now I mainly sell at a local flea market.
