I have a few questions regarding sales tax and I was hoping the more experienced ebayer had some answers.
1. Is there an intergraded software that exists that can take care of eBay Canada sales tax?
2. What method do you use to Calculate your sales tax charged to your eBay customers?
(Now, I download the Sales Report of all my sales by transaction for the perioded I need to calculate. I then manually in excel separate by province and add them up)
3. If I live and ship from Quebec Canada. What sales taxes do I need to register for? Right now I am registered for GST HST and QST. I am required to register in the other provinces I have sales in like, BC, SK, MB?
4. If eBay did not charge the correct amount of tax according to my tax table, Do I have to eat the cost of the taxes that were not charged properly?
Thanks for your insight, wish eBay had an easier way to deal with sales tax!!

It is time for you to do a lot of reading.
Go to.... Canada Revenue Agency, GST/HST
Read about Parcels, postage and lettermail.
All you collect is GST and HST..... No PST in GST provinces/territories
The fact you live in Quebec, puts you in a unique position.... compared to sellers in other provinces.
Everything is on an annual basis, January 1 to December 31 of a year.
You will get a letter early in the following year, from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)... all about GST/HST....... Make sure you mail this information on the correct day.
You can only collect GST/HST/QST if you are registered with CRA and have a Business number

I looked at a couple of your listings and they show that you are collecting sales tax for BC, SK and MB at the GST+PST rate. If you are not registered to collect sales tax for those provinces then you only collect the 5% GST for those provinces. Anything more is illegal if you are not registered with them. Either register or change your tax table rates.

Hi, your probly looking at my listing on mobile were ebay does not correctly display the selleres tax table. We only charge gst and hst and qst.
Interesting, but I'm viewing from a desktop.
In any case, eBay should be showing the tax rates you set regardless of method viewed. That is a serious error if they are not.

When I checked yesterday I just saw the 5% on non hst provinces. I just added something to my cart and it it worked correctly..5% to Alberta. Odd that you are seeing something different.
Is it possible that listings are different? The one I looked at is 302725664173
Edit..just found one that is wrong. item 302240335883

Is it possible that some of your listings were done on the French site and some of the English site? The listing that I found with the wrong rates has a slightly different set up than the first listing that I looked it. One of the listings the I access the tax info is on the right ride under the shipping tab and on the other one the tax info is accessed on the left.

OP - Sounds as if you are on the right track, although there may be glitches here and there.
But for new sellers, this cannot be over-emphasized.
